Mary of Burgundy weds Charles VIII of France

In OTL there were marriage negotiations between Mary of Burgundy and Charles VIII of France but those fell apart due to territorial cessation demands made by his father as a part of the negotiations. What if Charles’s father hadn’t been so obstinate with regard to this and thus Mary and Charles wed and eventually produced a male heir uniting the French and Burgundian lands? What is the impact on France’s development with much of the Netherlands and Belgium a part of it?

There is a TL about this

we can also make Charles the Bold survive for longer delaying any marriage proposals for Mary of Burgundy.

After my TL, didn't use the same POD, but it's pretty close, so in my opinion a successful union between Burgundians and French is not really impossible especialy in this period, but you would need few butterfly after your POD.

first Mary death (the POD would be enough becasue her death was an accident she was riding and was hunting with Maximilian) and you also need to butterfly the death of Chancellor Hugonet and the Sire d'Humbercourt to allow the pro-French party to survive.

In the first year, you will see Mary take the control of the burgundian estate and more the time will pass, more she will have power, the realm would surely be in peace during her reign because she will not have the power to join a war. however many burgundian noble will start to bond with the French nobility and start to make carrer in french office, many of them will join Charles VIII during the Italians war, creating a kind of schism between Burgundian noble and burgundian burgher (the northern part).
Also Mary would have a great influence in Charles VIII and their children.

With Anne of Beaujeu, Louis XII and Mary of Burgundy as regent for the next king (Charles VIII will surely die quickly, seen his behavior) you will see France modernize quickly under their inlfuence, the trade between both country will explode, so burgundians and the north east of France economy will growing up a lot. (encouraging the growth of pro-french party)

This union would make the french neighbour more wary, so you will see less war it would be more monolithic, each power wainting that the other shows a weakness. OTL In this period France lose a lot of people, ressource, that would began to mark the economic, millitary (venality of charges and offices under François I) and demographic decline of France (they fought almost non stop against many countries and with the comibnaison of a lot of factor french population started to stagnate). So ITTL France would be more dynamic and would avoid his decline.

So when Mary will die, the desire of revolt will only be partial, and if a war happened Burgundian troop will join french one, so they will surely have the upper-hand even if the rebel have the help of other power. netherlands territories will surely rebel many time in the first centuries after the union but the more time will pass, the more Netherlands and France would be interconnected. France would became a super-power but surrounded by a coalition of power against this power.
