I was planning timeline with Henry VIII's kids-Edward and Elizabeth dying in 1546, killed by sweathing sickness. I started to wonder if such event could led to Mary Stuart on English throne in long run?
1546-News about his children illness reach Henry during his French Campaign. He agrees for peace with Francis earlier (the same day as Charles V) and returns to England in hurry. By the times he arrives Eddie and Liz are dead.
1547-Henry, sick, fat, broken man, dies in January. Mary, his last living child takes the throne (she was back in line of succession at the time of Henry's death, It should be easier for her to take crown than IOTL, when she and Elizabeth were excluded again by Edward VI in favor of Greys).
Marriage negotiations start, Emperor Charles V proposes his recently widowed son as husband for Mary.
1548-Philip, prince of Asturias (and king of Naples-Charles would propably abdicate one of his thrones like IOTL to improve status of his son) marries Mary of England.
Without Edward VIs reforms it is much easier to bring England back to Roman Church.

Meanwhile in Scotland-Rough Wooing is over, Scotland is more stable, queen Mary Stuart doesn't need to flee to France and is raised in her home country. Could be bethroted to Dauphin but would not live on the French court and would not marry him before 1558

Say that Mary Tudor still dies childless, her marriage would last longer so by 1558 she would know that she will not have any offspring, so there is time to solve problem of succession-would we see Mary Stuart on English throne? ITTL she is Scottish raised and unmarried, unlike other descendants of Henry VII she is also of royal birth.
