Margaret Fair Maid of Norway and the discovery of the Americas

Assuming that Margaret Fair Maid of Norway and Edward II got married and Margaret inherits Norway because her uncle dies childless, they both have Basques and Norsemen in their domains, the Norsemen that discovered Vinland and the Basques that fished cod near the Americas, will their marriage make the Americas to be discovered earlier than OTL.

I don't see anything inherent in this POD that makes an earlier European contact with/settlement of the Americas. By the time Margaret was born, contact with Greenland was rare and sporadic, leaving little incentive for any Scandinavian exploration of the Western Hemisphere. If there's no Norse movement westward, there would be no incentive for anyone else under the Norse monarch's dominion to move westward. So, I think no.
