One of my favorite animators at Walt Disney was Marc Davis, one of Disney's Nine Old Men. Davis was responsible for the design and creation of many of Walt Disney's most well known characters, two of which are considered two of the most iconic Disney villains ever designed and created, Maleficent of Sleeping Beauty and Cruella De Vill of 101 Dalmatians.
In addition, Davis was one of Disney's original Imagineers and designed many rides for Disneyland. This included the Enchanted Tiki Room, the Country Bear Jamboree and Pirates of the Caribbean.
Needless to say, Davis has been an inspiration for animators and designers at the Walt Disney company for years and is considered a Disney Legend. Andreas Deja had Davis as a mentor and went on to create three of Disney's most iconic villains himself, Gaston, Jafar, and Scar.
So here is my question. If Marc Davis never came to Disney, what is the impact on the Walt Disney Company and the Disney Villains franchise in general?
