Yes, I suppose if Pakistan is still claiming Kashmir they might want to keep claiming the parts to the west. Surprised India didn’t move into Pakistan, but I assume they cared more about the range of Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal than the Soviets would. What is the really light region in the annexed Mongolia for? What happened to Pakistan?
This is fantastic. When did WW3 happen? How it was? Also, in this post human world, how many "normal" (by early XXI century standards) humans are there? How's their life? What does a S1, S2 or S3 even look like? Are they based on an improved "computer" or are they the result of an hive mind that absorbed thousands or normal individuals on the lower step of the singularity scale?View attachment 682782

thank you I'm currently working on the WW3 map, which happens circa 2250. Most people would probably stay "normal" but they'd take the back seat world affairs. Most basehumans would live in a state of post scarcity. There could be lots of different forms of posthumans. Ones in space would just be massive quantum computers inside spaceships, the ones on West Africa would be a mix of quantum computers and sub-minds. Hive minds could also be made of clones or minds created by S1, not necessarily absorbed humans. This is fantastic. When did WW3 happen? How it was? Like it, Thanks!I made a map based on your map. I hope you're cool with that. Here it is!

Interesting. Tho I'm more intrigued by the flags...As usual, crossposting from the MotF challenge. Questions, comments, anything really, is welcomed
Come celebrate Boltsholm Day at the original Boltsholm!
May 15 is a very momentous day for Boltsholm History, being that in which the expedition of William Bolts, chartered by King Gustav III of Sweden, first landed on the island of Boltsholm, off the western shore of the mainland, in 1788, having been tasked with the mission of establishing a trading colony in the region. From those humble beginnings, Boltsholm grew into the nation we know of today, covering the entire continent and thriving with a strong Scandinavian culture mixed with many thriving immigrant communities and, of course, the Aboriginal inhabitants of the land.
To celebrate the occasion, every year on May 15, Boltholmians gather in the small island that gave name to their country and celebrate with picnics, concerts and firework shows. The island, conveniently accessible by ferry from Svanhamn, the capital and largest city of the country, is also a favorite spot for vacations or just weekend getaways, providing many opportunities for going to the beach, snorkeling, bike paths and whale-sightings. The Boltsholm Museum also hosts a permanent exhibition narrating the early years of settlement, both in the island and in the mainland, telling the intrepid history of the early settlers of Boltsholm.
The first Boltsholm Day was celebrated in 1818, as Foundation Day, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the landing of William Bolts, who had also died precisely 10 years earlier, after serving as Governor of the colony for 20 years, a remarkable tenure for the Father (and namesake) of Boltsholm. Of course, the public opinion on the man has changed lately, with the reappraisals of his role in the massacres of indigenous tribes in the mainland, but the celebrations and his legacy continue to loom large all over the country.
Boltsholm would cease to be the capital of the colony on May 15 1826, with a formal ceremony transferring the seat of government to Svanhamn, where it remains since, due to the lack of space provided by the island and the difficulty in providing water and food for the ever larger needs of the administrative center of the ever-growing colony. Despite this, Boltsholm has remained steadfast, flourishing as a hub of tourism, in particular during the May 15 celebrations, where thousands converge on to the island to celebrate in the marvelous spectacles it provides.

This is actually part of a larger project I am brewing and which I might publish later on as its own thing. But it seemed like a good way to publish its first map and see what people thought.
So, Boltsholm Island is OTL Rottnest Island, Svanhamn is OTL Perth and Boltsholm as a country is Australia. This is Swedish Australia! Or, more precisely, Swedish-Norwegian Australia with a good number of Danish, Finnish and Icelandic settlers too. I won't spoil the project too much, but essentially it's inspired in the planned colony Gustav III chartered, but that was never fulfilled due to war with Russia. I find it an interesting idea, a Scandinavian Australia, and I'm still mapping out the politics and everything (I think people will like what I have planned there), but it's still far along. Consider this a teaser for something that may never be fully completed.
Oh and my apologies to any Swedish speakers if I butchered your language in any place.
That's awesome and hilarious. Now I want to see a TL-191 style thing where there's a bunch of Mormon occultists running around on dubious archeology missions for the Confederate government 😂Fuck it, another weirdo-shitposty map inspired by more wackass Discord banter. Confederate Hyperborea. Basically the CSA and the Mormons combine forces and go insane together. With the CSA's racial and nativist tendencies combining with the Mormons homegrown American religion they create a semi-shared belief that the Kingdom of Nephi was actually the chosen Kingdom of God. The Kingdom of Nephi was also home to the "original Caucasian Race" and it was destroyed 650 years before "the birth of Christ" by a coalition formed out of the Lamanites and jealous Israelites.

IDK, just a weird thought experiment me and Discord friends had. Ask questions if you want some answers.

It says Washington was the US's "third capital city", but it didn't say what was the fourth. Have you developed that part of the timeline yet?My first city map and an experiment with using small-scale data in QGIS - a Washington D.C. after a Confederate victory forces the capital north. This was inspired by MacPherson's Battle Cry of Freedom, which I am currently reading and which is a great book I would recommend to anyone interested in the Civil War.
I'd assume it's Philadelphia. That's the usual choice for capital in Confederate victory TLs.It says Washington was the US's "third capital city", but it didn't say what was the fourth. Have you developed that part of the timeline yet?

That's right - in fact, if you look right below the legend I've added a note where the NPS HQ is listed as a Philly address to allude to that.I'd assume it's Philadelphia. That's the usual choice for capital in Confederate victory TLs.
I actually noticed that, but I figured it might be similar to how the CDC is in Atlanta in OTL. Just a place where it is, not the actual capital. That's right - in fact, if you look right below the legend I've added a note where the NPS HQ is listed as a Philly address to allude to that.
