Map Thread XX

So for a couple of previous Map Threads, I had done a "Most Popular list" and in honor of reaching Map Thread XX

This is an extremely extensive and awesome list of maps so as a disclaimer I don't intend to citicize it, I just would like to point out that De Erda dausnd Jaar efter dit Olkrik isn't a part of the Rise of the Night TL but actually is an MotF entry that I made on a whim when I saw the contest deadline was postponed for a few days; I've been (still am) working on a completely reworked version of Rise of the Night (formerly Nightrise) and thus I haven't posted anything new about it since last spring or so.

So given that I used to mostly post RotN-related stuff before the MotF entry and given that this is such an extensive list this is a completely understandable and normal mistake, I just wanted to point it out. :) (also woo, I barely made it into Top 200!)

A few maps that will eventually be used in my Boulanger TL. First up is the Abyssinia/ Ethiopian Empire which ends up getting awarded Italian Eritrea in the Three Years War.

Ethiopia_Final.png

A successful (ish) Central American Union, which is glued together largely in fear of American expansionism.

And finally what remains of the British pupp-... ‘allied‘ Federation of India after the Second Indian Revolt in the 60s. Basically a weird semi federal union of surviving Princely States (chief among being the Maharaja of Mysore), which continue to host British garrisons and bases. Ceylon also continues on in similar fashion as a separate British protectorate.

You went and did it, you crazy man. Epic achievement, now I have to browse this list for a while.

Anyway, here is a map I made back in 2017 and never posted to AH.com. It was previously posted on my Deviantart.

Lovely work! I wonder if Charles the Bold's descendants will try to make themselves Holy Roman Emperors now or try to nab more of France. And can the British (well, English at this point, I guess) keep themselves from sticking their oar in again at some point?

This is just my opinion but might Parat/Bharat be a better word rather than Intiya?

You may be right yeah...I only got it through a Google Translate English to Tamil (since that would be the majority language in a South Indian state)
I know that Intiya *is* used in Tamil officially in India but Parat could be an alternative if you want it

Hail the new map thread. Have a wip map collage. We have [left to right, top row first) 1) The Grasshopper Lies Heavy QBAM, 2) A cover of RvBOmally's Endsieg, 3) My own interpretation of the Shadowrun Universe, and 4) a cover of RvBOmally's Allies and Axis 2.0. I am only capable of producing covers; I do not know what originality is.

Of all the projects I attempted during the course of the last map thread, I only published three of them. To make matters worse the three published maps where TMG rounds. Why can I not complete a map without a competitive deadline, please send help and motivation.
I'm digging the Grasshopper Lies Heavy one. Gib me moar!

Map of the United States (Arabic: الولايات المتحدة الامريكية, Portuguese: Estados Unidos da America, Canadian Gaelic: Stàitean Aonaichte na h-Aimeireaga) in 1678. Aka my current USA eu4 game. Not showing allies, and showing their 'vassals' Colla and Tashili

Arabic and Portuguese?
2 of the 6 'official' languages (technically, all languages of official, but Arabic is the main one), along with English, 'Native Meso-American Unity Language'*, Scottish Gaelic**, and Quechua***. Portuguese was official from the start, but only really started to be used after the New Algarve War, and Arabic is the main language (think how otl USA with English, but less so, with only around 1/3 having Arabic as the main language, mostly on the east coast, and the 'Californias'.)

* Basically a mix between Mayan, Zapotec, and Aztec, used as the lingua franca in most of Central and South otl Mexico, and down to the state of Darien (otl Panama)
** Due to the large minority in the otl Quebec states, and 'Nova Scotia' (northern Ohio and Illinois)
*** Mainly used in Quito (otl Ecuador), Colla, and Tashili

Thanks! It wouldn't be surprising to see Charles the Bold's descendants seeking to be Holy Roman Emperor especially knowing that they have such a large and powerful kingdom whose resources could be put to use in such an undertaking. But that large and powerful kingdom naturally invites some large and powerful enemies, no? ;) I would imagine the Habsburgs making alliances with the French king (who absolutely despise the Burgundians by this point) and the various French minor lords if the Burgundian kings start to get too ambitious for the Habsburgs to handle.

Regarding the English, I must say I didn't think too much about them. Since they still have Calais, it wouldn't be that unlikely to see English monarchs involve themselves on the continent if Calais is ever threatened.

@Venusian Si
Fantastic work compiling those as always!

There is one small typo that I've spotted, on my map at 192 it should be 'Arda' not 'Adra'.

Thanks you two! Definitely appreciate the kind words - and the errors have now been corrected (honestly surprised there hasn't been a lot more of them :coldsweat:).

Thank you so much (And off course, shout out again to XFE and Minnesota_Nationalist for their help)!

Have fun browsing!

I will say that I am mad that both the Danish (got to 40 after Si went through the thread) and the Dutch cards I did back in January got more likes than two world maps I made.
