Continuing my New World wank series. The world in 1300 AD.

Civilization continues to develop in Elysium (ttyl name for Americas).
Elysium:

Remean empire: Following the devestation in Europe the remaining Norse population in Iceland and Greenland falls to their control. The population here is very happy to be under the Remean protection and Catholic missionaries are expelled, the local belief and culture is reinforced. In 1220 The Remeans go to war with a European power for the first time taking the Faroe islands from Denmark. The European world would have been shocked if it weren't for the horde on the East.

The United Tribes: South of Reme the United tribes grows in power. Far more decentralized in nature than their northern counterparts The United Tribes develop a complex economy and road system. So far they remain afraid to go to war with the Eagle to the north, but war with the Ohnawiokan Empire, which is much closer to their power level could be brewing on the horizon. The United Tribes are the only pseudodemocratic society in Elysium, with all of the Tribe leaders getting a say in government. The Great Chief is elected every 5 years by a simple vote of all the lower chiefs. For the most part the Creeks dominate the national government, but it occasionally shifts to some of the others.

South Elysium: Latin influence is small outside of some traders from the North, but that isn't to say that powerful empires are not on the rise here.

Empire of Mexica: Mexica has become the second most powerful nation in Elysium. It is one of the most urbanized countries in the world with a strong road system and powerful military means Mexica is very centralized. Formidable walls have been built around many of the cities, similar to the castles of Europe, most other Elysian nations still place a heavy reliance on Earthen and wooden defenses. To the South the Zapotec and Aztec tribes have united and refuse to yield to Mexica, threatening their hold on the region.

Europe:

In Europe the Mongal empire has reached its height, easily crushing the kingdoms of France, Poland and the German states due to the devastation of Disease and war for the last 200 years. The Alps stand as the only thing preventing the Mongols from conquering Italy as well.

The Byzantine Empire stands alone as a united European powerhouse. The Pope excommunicates the Emperor in 1250 after the Byzantines ally with the Mongol horde to avoid invasion.

What is the basic concept behind all these cards? To make massive wank?
Spain's not bad at all. Mali's fine, even if it requires a very different course of events from the history you gave it.
But a nomadic empire grabbing hold of Europe, much less America, resisting crumbling for centuries against both European pressure and steppe factionalism, and then leading the world in terms of science and technology? That just ain't possible because the facts of a horde lifestyle won't let it be so. That ain't nothing but nomadwank.

Slavia should really be called Slavonia, unless you have a good reason for why otherwise of course.
Idk it sounded fitting. Just liked the name and it's shorter that Slavonia so it fits better on the map

So many people cackling about Macedonia. Though I suppose it does look off without the Bulgarian Purin Macedonia. I would be more concerned about what happened for the British to lose the Channel Islands.
They sold the Islands to Brittany. Btw Brittany is an ally to Britain. The People on the islands had the choise to stay British or being sold to Brittany.
Probably a forged referendum but still.
And it looks better for Brittany tho ^^

First proper map i've done in a while!

Basic premise: Turco-Mongols established their rule over Hungary and settled the Carpathian basin following the Mongol invasion of 1241. In the century following 1241, the Turco-Mongol elite began to adopt Christianity, in the West, to Catholicism, and in the East, Orthodox Christianity. The Turco-Mongols splintered into various states in the 14th and early 15th century, along geographic and religious lines, but unlike in Poland and the former HRE, Turco-Mongol rule remained. Through the 17th century, the lands of the Donyube were unified under a centralized state, and the Khanate of Donyubistan was proclaimed. Donyubian, a blend of Turkic and Mongol languages with various German, Magyar, Slavic, Wallachian, Latin, Greek and other regional influences, is the dominant language, while regional dialects and minority languages are common. The country is 50% Catholic, 43% Orthodox and 6% Jewish, with a small amount of followers of old Shamanist and Tengrist traditions.

What is TCU
Transcaucasian Union ?
Divergent54 is correct. TCU. is the Transcaucasian Union.

It's a socialist bloc that came about following the semi-collapse of the Russian Empire in the early 1930's (This is generally seen as the decade where European Empires wain for a varity of factors.).

However by 1972 it is starting to fall to infighting between the different ethnic groups within it's make up and will eventually collapse in the mid 1980's. This is can generally be seen akin to OTL's Yugoslavia. It'll only be following it's collapse the Russian Empire would start gaining more control over the region adding it back into it's own sphere.

Are any ov you fans of the Railhead trilogy by Philip Reeve? (I know this isn't the place for this maybe, but I don't know where else to put it)

While Europe dealt with the Mongol horde, a nation in Elysium would also discover the power of the horse archer. Up until now horses had mainly been used for civilian purposes as a beast of burden and hunting, or when they were used in war they were used as heavy cavalry reserved for nobles. Most considered fighting on foot much more honorable.

However this would change when a band of Shoshone indians discover that horses are not just good for helping them hunt buffalo. In 1290 Chief Leaning Tree began to organize the Shosane plains tribes. Within several years he had formed a formidable force that would become the scourge of the plains. The Comanche expansion began in 1300 as they quickly began to dominate the plains. The Shoshones would quickly be affectiately be given the name The Comanches or 'The Enemy' by their rivals. Their quick and light mounted combat would be unmatched by anyone. Their army moved fast. It was said they slept only on horseback and could travel 100 miles in a day, but this claim is likely exaggerated but goes to show how feared they must have been by anyone unfortunate enough to go against them.

The Comanches were the last tribe to rise to power in Elysium that did not have a writing system. Much of what we know today about the Comanches comes from what others wrote about them and from the Epic of Sigrid. Sigrid was the great grandson of a Viking warrior who moved to Reme in the 1100s. Sigrid was a mighty warrior in his own right coming to be known as 'The Cyclops' after losing an eye in a duel sometime around 1350. Sigrid became intrigued by the tales of the mighty comanche warriors and set out to meet them. Traveling with a band of 50 men he set out and traveled to their territory. It would take 5 years before he was able to learn the language and become trusted enough to be allowed to accompany a band of Comanche raiders. For seven years he traveled with them recording (and embellishing) their exploits. One of the most interesting moments in his Epic is while raiding a Mexican city they are attacked by Shamans 'with the power of fire'. He writes that they would throw clay pots that would explode when they hit the ground spraying fire and smoke around frightening the horses and the men. Many of the comanches fall off their horses in the chaos and are slew when the Mexican army emerges from the dense forest. Sigrid and around half of the Comanche party escape, defeated. What is notable about this story is that it is the first written account of gunpowder being used in war outside of China.

Sigrid would travel with the Comanches untll 1370 when he would leave and return to Reme by 1373.

Well, Fandom is there for this sort of thing rather than the map thread...

As for your actual question, I read the first one when if first came out but didn't know there was a series.

Courtesy of u/Dr_JP69 from Reddit, a map of Soviet Rome (the VCSRP - Vnio Consiliariarum Socialisticum Rerum Publicarum, or Union of Council Socialist Republics), governed by the CPQR (Consilium Populusque Romanus, or Council and People of Rome).

The Roman Empire industrialises early thanks to steam engines, primarily in the Graecia region; its history then proceeds in a similar manner to Russia (an Empire overthrown by Communist revolution). The map is dated somewhere around 800-1000 AD.

Another blank fantasy map like the one I posted yesterday, having been drawn on paper some years ago but with me finishing to edit it just now. It shows an Europe-esque continent before and some time after a massive flooding event (think the drowning of Doggerland meets the Zanclean Floods for the scope and timespan). On the one to the left (the after), the more saturated greenish-blue is meant to represent that those areas, while permanently sea, are not that deep, and depending on the region sailing through a ruined city and sightseeing is not a unrealistic prospect. (also: the large sea to the northeast was a gigantic lake until the flooding, and due to height differences where it meets with the ocean there are some of the world's most treacherous rapids, while most of the water on it is drinkable in nature)
