Franklin, yes. The map had a glitch when saving and didn't save the name. What do you think of the states?

Overly convergent, but the map itself is perfectly good.

1. Iroquois probably makes more sense than Iroquia.
2. Silicone Valley is probably not a good name for it. My thought is that it should be called North California, and have the state currently called North California be called "Sierra," since Nevada is already taken.

Considering how early the point of divergence would need to be to have some of those states, some of the other states' borders are awfully close to OTL's state borders.

Your "New Afrika" doesn't correlate to the Black Belt and would be a majority White state, so the name doesn't make a lot of sense. "Yazoo" or maybe "Nickajack" are more appropriate IMO.

You are correct. I wanted to make majorly black states but I didn't have the knowledge of good names or boundaries for them.

Yes, but I could see some 17th/18th century person thinking Iroquia was a better choice.

Ethnic map of Eurasia. I did an Africa one a while back (it's in some random map thread) and decided to revisit it with Asia, but the Urals, Turkish Thrace, and Bougainville complicated things and made the map look off, so I just decided to add Europe as well as a few other Areas. Some of the states in it were too small for even single digit numbers so I made several keys which were closer to the regions they covered.
No scenario for this one either, just bordergore

Interesting, but I don't get why for example Switzerland and Austria are seperated from Germany while for example Flanders is part of the Netherlands.

First of all, Arpitan needs to be separate from Occitan and covers roughly Dauphiné, Romandy, Savoy and Aosta.
Second, Roussillon (Pyrrénées-Orientales) is Catalan, not Occitan.
Third, it's the entire Western half of Brittany, not just the Côtes-d'Armor, which are Breton.

In other words, either all of France is put down as Francophone and French, or you have to go with more historical culture.

If it's about language and not culture, then AFAIK Rennes never spoke Breton, but your point entirely stands

And Rennes is in the Îlle-et-Villaine. But Brest and Lorient ? They're Breton.
