Alternate History about Hawaii Island discovered and colonized by Japanese first in the 16th century when Hasekura Tsunenaga crossed the Pacific Ocean, thus these islands were named after Hasekura or his European name "Philip Francis Faxicura".
The Hasekura Islands were governed by officials dispatched from a Japanese colony on the west coast of America named "Akitsushima" (秋津州), whose capital is Shinjuwan (真珠湾, lit. "Harbor of Pearl"). As Akitsushima, the official language of Hasekura Islands was also Japanese and Chinese. The main population of the Islands was Chinese (唐人, mainly from Fujian and Guangdong), Japanese (和人, mainly from Kantō and Ōshū), then Korean and Ryukyuan who were also colonized by Japanese and forced to immigrate to the islands and work in plantations. The native people of Hawaii survived colonization and fought for their tradition and human rights.
The religion in Hasekura Islands was so complicated that the scholars are still studying it until now. It's evident that there was Buddhism, Shinto, Taoism, and Hawaiian native religion. But Chinese immigrants combined the structure of the Shinto organization and absorbed the Gods and Goddess from Natives then created polytheist, ethical and well-organized Shenism(神教, "Religion about Gods").
The state flower of Hasekura Islands was Hawaiian hibiscus which is originated from Hawai but named after the ancient name of Japan "Fuso"(扶桑, a mythological tree or a mysterious land to the East where the Sun arises again and again everyday).

What if Rome was like China?

Not Thousand Week Reich this time. Kinda one-off big map I made based on the premise of the Roman Empire developing like China instead of the other way round.
Apologies for implausibility and any weird stuff (that I assume there is some of), this definitely isn't my area of historical expertise, but was mostly a fun thought experiment to me.

Cross-posted from the OTL Election Maps thread. There's a link to the full-size image there:

If you're like me, you've seen the PVI reported for various US states and congressional districts and wondered, "What about the counties? Or even the state legislative districts? Don't they know there are other things to measure the partisan lean of besides congressional districts and states??"

But since you're not exactly like me, you probably didn't go ahead and make PVI maps for four different divisions of the largest state by population, which I'm sure has been good for your sanity. Had I known what a pain in the ass all those little labels would be, I would've asked somebody else to do it for me :p

So without further ado, here's the current (for today) PVI of California's counties, congressional districts, state senate districts, and state assembly districts:

World 1941.png

And here is my interpretation of a TL-191 map of the World, circa 1941. This include some of my headcanon ideas such as the East Indies still under Dutch Control, Manchuria as a Russian puppet state, and an Italian New Caledonia and New Hebrides.

Who did you use for the images of the current German and Austrian monarchs?

Those are pictures of popular figures as far as I know. The German one at least is Max Raabe who is worth a listen if you like Chansons and 20s/30s/40s era kind of music with a modern spin.

Not really a criticism, just something I was reminded of by you using Naruhito as Emperor of Japan, but why do people never seem to use the actual current Habsburg and/or German claimant in these surviving A-H/Kaiserreich scenarios?

Seeing how many likes I got on my first WIP Map just makes me smile, anyway, here's the second WIP for the map in question.
