Alright keep in mind I haven't put the most thought into this TL so a lot of my answers are heavily based on 2312.

You should try making it into a proper timeline. I'd gladly give scientific/technological/geopolitical/economic/demographic/engineering assistance, along with other things.

Here's something of a little surprise, if rather ASB: a map-profile based on the (in)famous Nasuverse setting of TYPE-MOON, of Fate/Stay Night fame. A setting where magic (or rather, magecraft), alchemy, vampires and other supernatural hijinks exist both amidst a modern world seems to look the other way and apart from it. The DeviantArt version can be found here.

Fate/Grand Mess: The Nasuverse

<<EXCERPT FROM PRIVATE OVAL OFFICE MEETING, WHITE HOUSE, WASHINGTON D.C. 11.17.2016.>>

<<PROPERTY OF THE UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT BUREAU OF PARANORMAL AFFAIRS>>

<<CONFIDENTIAL. EYES ONLY.>>

"My, God. Director [REDACTED], these files are huge."

"I know this is a lot to take in, Mr. President."

"You're telling me that those stories about vampires, demons and magic are actually real?! And you expect me to think that there exist wizards among us who know of these…things?!"

"Magus and magecraft would be the more appropriate terms, though you are mostly correct. They're not exactly like what they're described as in folklore, nor what you may have heard in Sunday School. But no matter what we may call them or as hard as it is to believe, yes they do exist."

"I…see. Off-record, then. So how is it then that most people, let alone our fellow Americans aren't aware of all these? Just cut to the chase. If these notes are anything to go by, this hoopla has been going on for God knows how long!"

"For as long as human history, Sir. If it's any comfort, your response to this is natural. Hell, it also shocked me as well early on while learning the ropes. But I'll try to explain as briefly as possible: most magus-type humans are members of an international society called the Mage's Association, which is something like the U.N. that tries to not only uphold magecraft and enforce a code of conduct upon its members."

"Magic globalists, then."

"They wish. True, there've been a few with ambitions for all mankind, but for the most part the Mage's Association, or M.A. tries to keep the aforementioned weirdness, including its own existence secret from everyone else. Been doing so for thousands of years. That isn't to say it's entirely united or speaks with one voice. Of the various groups, schools and orders that comprise it, three in particular stand out as the most influential. There's the so-called Clock Tower for one, which is based in the British Museum in London. Their reach has traditionally been across the old British Empire, though it's been around for much longer than the very notion of England, and is home to a group of powerful dynasties involved in various arcane power struggles. The second is the Atlas Temple, a sort-of autonomous faction hidden away in Egypt. From what we know, its members spend their time delving into the inner workings of the universe and finding ways to avoid any potential apocalypse. The last one would be The Sea of Estray, a collection of various European organizations that trace their descent from the original leaders of the M.A. Their headquarters is said to constantly move, though its last known location was somewhere off the coast of Norway. They've also been called many names over the centuries, including the Prague Association, Sponheim Abbey and the Thule Society…"

"Don't tell me you're going to mention Nazis being involved into this mess, Director. That's bigly of an accusation."

"Not at all, Mr. President. While many magi tend to be more focused on seeking knowledge and truth than anything else, I can spend all day talking about the convoluted politics going on, but I digress. Moving on, their principal rival is the Holy Church. No, it's not the Holy See, even if it's involved...complicated story. The gist is that the Papacy had been aware of vampirism and some of the more malevolent magi for generations now. In order to wage their own secret battles with the paranormal, a parallel organization had to be created, one at once part of and separate from the Vatican. Its goal remains to eradicate what it sees as heretical threats as well as uphold the Faith by any means necessary, achieved through a series of special agencies ranging from specialized clerics and holy relic guardians to mystic inquisitors simply called Executors. They even have secretive hit-squads to keep meddling interlopers and would be threats silent. But since Christianity seems to condemn the use of magecraft, they went so far as to create an Eight Sacrament just so they can 'legally' utilize its powers for their own interests, though it hasn't stopped them from cooperating with the M.A. in keeping the peace. The mainline clergy also look the other way with some of the more esoteric and otherwise sacriligous antics Church agents do. If you ask me, I'm still surprised they could even be considered 'Catholic' with how divergent they've become."

"You would think the C.I.A. or N.S.A. would have wind of any of this."

"You wouldn't be wrong in thinking so, and the Bureau has collaborated with the Deep State whenever it suits the task at hand. But while many of the details involving these factions, or even the whole hidden realms you've just been informed of are far beyond classified to most even in Langley, it's safe to say that there's a lot going on we speak that the Average Joe would never even know about, and would rather not know. Take Japan, for instance. Not too long ago, there had been a string of strange murders going around and unconfirmed reports of certain people in the M.A. getting involved. The Church's agents in the country were also known to not only be tracking down a high-ranking vampire of the Brunestud line but intervene in the so-called Fifth Holy Grail War, a battle between mages and so-called 'servants' happening in a place called Fuyuki City. Of course, the situation there was resolved without our direct hand, but imagine what would have happened had things gone terribly wrong."

"In that case, [REDACTED], where does the United States fit in all this? Believe me, I want to know just how safe and prepared we are! Besides, if the worst of those things are as you described them, surely a ton of ordinance would be enough…right? And if it's not too much to ask, what exactly is it that your Bureau does?"

"With all due respect, I was afraid that you wouldn't ask, Mr. President. As you may already know, magi are not alien to the New World. While the M.A. does have a presence even in this country, many of our ancestors also sought to find freedom from its grasp. No doubt your own forefathers would find much in common with that sentiment. In fact, from the first colonies and despite much hardship, they worked their way up and gotten themselves into positions within the government. My own lineage may not be as distinguished as the Archibalds or Tohsakas, but we've been here since before Washington crossed the Delaware. My own father served back in 'Nam to stop vampires from turning Da Nang into another depraved feeding ground, and he wasn't even given a medal. But if you want a demonstration..."

*SIGNAL INTERFERENCE*

"Please don't stand up, Mr. President. I hope that should be enough proof of my own claims. Not everyone under my watch is like me, but the majority of them are. Affirmative action, I'm sure you understand."

"Then why tell all this to me, [REDACTED]? What game are you playing with here?"

"Nothing. It's true that this isn't technically speaking standard procedure. In fact, as you may realize by now, there are threats that can't simply be resolved with bullets or nuclear weapons. But we're hard-working, taxpaying Americans just like everyone else. And if we all don't do our own part...well, we would all pay the price. It's not in the Bureau's interest to see, New York or Los Angeles end up becoming another vampiric hotspot or have any Holy Grail War activity in, say, Snowfield, Nevada go horribly wrong. Along with my colleagues and contacts, I want to assure you that we too want to see America endure."

"Just that I don't tell anyone else about any of this. Is that your condition?"

"Right from my mouth, Sir. Strictly speaking, this meeting never happened. Otherwise…well, you don't like to have any weird stuff happening in D.C. so soon after your election."

There's a wiki covering TYPE-MOON's portfolio, which over the years has grown far beyond its origins in light novels and doujin-soft to encompass various games, manga and anime series. Even whole alternate timelines. The Fate franchise in particular (which has since expanded to include Fate/Grand Order and Fate/Apocrypha, to name a few), involves secretive "Holy Grail Wars," 'servant' familiars revealed to be legendary figures (both from history and mythology), King Arthur as a girl, and yes, the classic "People die if they are killed" meme.

The work is also something of a remake to The Strange World of the Nasuverse: A Profile, a drabble from 2012 inspired by 's "ASB Scenarios." Though this time, I've tried to incorporate not only various works in the Nasuverse into a cohesive whole (with much of the American elements based from Fate/Strange Fake), but also a few nods to other works, ranging from Indiana Jones to the Russian Night Watch novel series to H.P. Lovecraft, among others. Though hopefully, everything makes sort of sense while giving a general idea to the setting as a whole.

#11 - I'm curious as to the plain uniforms being worrisome statement... can you elaborate on your thinking?

They're Latin Americans. It is weird when they aren't flashy. It's like Japanese or Germans being lazy. Or like French not being snobby etc. It's completely unexpected and out of ordinary. That's what I understand.

So many interpretations. I like it.

Did a map of a Persian Empire that successfully overran the Greeks. Divided into Satrapsies. Sparta is red because the Helot's revolted and established a state of their own, hell bent on revenge towards the Spartans, who are now far lower than second class citizens. Western Philosophy and Democracy as we know it are forever altered to a form near unrecognizable. Persia will slowly shrink over the next 200 years, however its influences on civilization as a whole are profound, remembered similar to how the Romans are in our timeline

It be interesting to see who comes after the Achaemenids. (Likely see Egypt, the Greeks, and the Eastern Parts all revolt and kick out the Persians. )

an another map from TL, where Teutonic order was based in Transylvania, not in Prussia

Serbo-Greek Empire is the historiographical name to the lands of the Eastern Roman Empire between the fall of the Latin Rhomania in 1340 and the fall of Constantinople to Persians in 1700 – in the times, when Serbian Nemanic dynasty sit on the throne in Constantinople. After the Justinian Roman Empire, and, probably, Ruthenian Empire. Serbo-Greek Empire was the greatest Orthodox state ever seen. The peack of the military power of Serbs in the West was the 1450-s, when, in alliance with Czech Hussites, they conquered Hungary and Austria.

Early (before the Great Reforms of XVI century) Serbo-Greek Empire was a weak feudal state, where every province was a personal fief of the magnate – Serbian, Greek, Czech or Vlachian origin. Fiefs was theoretically rent by them from Tsar-Emperor for the military service, and there was a lot of episodes, when the landowners was changed, or even executed.

Perhaps we should specify Latin American MILITARIES. And really, the whole thing with them covering themselves with medals might have been more prevalent in the Caribbean. Also reminds me of the Soviet Union, and how they always had only one 'class' of medals, and how they never had pins to put on a ribbon bar, just giving a new medal instead. Think I read somewhere that it was the law that you had to wear every one of your medals at once.
Who got the medals for the Malvinas? The navy or army? And I can't tell due to the very similar shades, but what happened with the British, Argentinian, and Chilean claims in Antarctica? And lookin at the borders with Mexico, do the Americans still have Santa Fe? And you may want to remove the 48 surrounded by Indonesia.

The Great War spelled the end of the Russian Empire. After the February Revolution ended the monarchy, the October Revolution became the start of a long and bloody civil war, and the Treaty of Vilnius, signed in March 1918, meant sizable territorial losses.

The rump Russian State, humiliated by the German Empire, spent the first several years after its exit from the Great War in a conflict of ideologies. Various "White" forces, mostly nationalists with a capitalistic mindset, battled against the "Reds", radical socialists and communists with transnational aspirations. While the Reds controlled the Russian heartland and the remaining Baltic ports, White forces controlled Southern Russia and Siberia. However after some skilled campaigning and subterfuge, the Communist forces managed to expel White troops from Southern Russia... Except for the Crimean Peninsula.

Crimea, located south of the German client state of Ukraine, was a White stronghold, albeit one troubled by Tatar nationalists and ethnic Ukrainians demanding unification with their northern homeland. But anti-communist forces still prevailed, and with German military backing they managed to avoid Soviet pushes across the Kerch Strait. In 1921 the local military government invited Grand Duke Nicholas Nikolaievich, grandson of Nicholas I, and a loyal commander to Nicholas II during the Great War, to lead them.

Grand Duke Nicholas III, as he became known, made Taurida a reluctant German ally, as the former enemy provided the necessary power to halt a Red tide washing over the peninsula. Taurida also established close ties to the Russian Republic, the White state which managed to remain in control of Siberia thanks to the help of its old Entente allies.

The aged Grand Duke, childless due to his devotion to the military, named Roman, the sole son of his brother Peter, as his heir, and Roman succeeded his uncle in 1928 after Nicholas died aged 71. Under Roman, who took the regal name Peter IV, is well-loved by his subjects after he made Tatar, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, and Greek protected languages, which greatly strengthened national unity, and in recent years established diplomatic ties with the mellowed Soviet Union.

so does every nation has its own magecraft? and do Islam and Judaism and Buddhism have there own groups as well? same for Protestantism and orthodoxy? wouldn't north Korea has a stronger control on magecraft then the south since many of its mythology is based in the north.

To be fair, I think he was from one of those mercenary groups that bought their own clothing,

That may be true here (I don't know the source of the picture), but in a general sense, it's just that before smokeless powder, you needed to be in bright, identifiable colours just to be visible and recognisable. Otherwise the risk of various parts of your own army attacking each other by accident in the (literal) fog of war became too great.

From a world where the American Revolution never happened, and the French Revolution fell apart. Highlights include a Buddhist khanate in Europe (Kalmykia or Oriat), an industrialized Qing Dynasty, and a Maratha Empire on level footing with Europe (and with solid-fuel rocket artillery). The current year is 1850.
