Oh, that's interesting! Is this a dictatorship, or why would you call it "extreme"?
It certainly isn’t a liberal or politically free society, but the authoritarianism here is a lot more bottom-up than top-down imposed (think like an actual dictatorship of the proletariat, rather than by party cadres or one strongman).

It’s extreme in that it wants to take back Texas and California and put the anglos there to the sword as part of an international class struggle/Holy Crusade for Catholicism (the Church in Mexico has schismed with the Roman Church).

World after ATL Operation Unthinkable in World where Italy stayed neutral during WW2. World involves three blocks:
- American block with Polish Intermarrium (as counterweight to Western Europe) that includes Eastern European countries (except Czechia) and Eastern Germany.
- Western European Block - France, UK and colonies + Western Germany created on ruins of Nazi Administration and parts of Wehrmacht that took part in Great Crusade against Communism.
- Fascist Block - Italy and Mediteranian countries allied with China.
US has some bases in various areas in the World - Kamchatka, Occupied Japan, Kiel Zone (shared with Denmark, big US Navy base in Europe), Crimea.

I am surprise Italy still owns Ethiopia. Italy only conquer Ethiopia because Mussolini wanted his ego boosted, and make himself big and strong! (And he was an deluded, incapable idiot.) Ethiopia will become an waste of resources and it would be harming its international status and prestige, and its stability at home. It lacks any draws fro Italian setters (no significant mineral/petroleum deposits.) an large population, an long history of independence, and rugged terrain would lead to problems in Italian expansion into the Highlands.

Most Italians did not even cared about Ethiopia before 1935.

Same there is still a Yugoslavia. Wound't Italy invaded them by now?

Submitted for MotF 182: a Republican Austro-Hungarian state with hideous Hungarian borders! It also might be my first modern era alt history map ever, which I didn't even realise until I was writing up the context.

DRAGONSLAND:
The only place in the known world to possess native dragons. It is ruled by a "Sysinaxch", or literally "Dragon-Emperor". Densely Jungled, it is not a hospitable place of the people of Eridan.
Dragonsland was almost colonized by the Old Potojiliacs, but due to their dragonriders, they managed to hold them off. The land was very breifly colonized by the late empire of Kortag. Long ago, before even the Old Potojilia, the realm was fractured into 100's, if not 1,000's of tribes and city-states. That was until the "Sysbonogo" came to power. He was the first to tame a dragon, after he found it had ate his child. He took his dragon and united the island, even going as far as warring with the fledgling Kortag empire, and winning. The Sysbonogo was acclaimed to be such a powerful warrior, that he went up to the dragonslander holy city, Sysi'Nasatogo, and beat the dragonslander god of war in personal combat, although this is certainly just a widow's tale. Dragonsland has ruled relatively peacefully ever since. The Kings of Dragonsland get so rich off the sale of Dragon Eggs that it is said that their halls are made of solid gold.

Roman Britain.png

I present to you, a Western Roman rump state occupying the province of Britannia Superior. The basic premise is that Aegidius sends military forces in the name of the Emperor in Rome to Britannia. This stabilizes Britain for a time, but it weakens the Domain of Soissons militarily. Eventually, upon the succession of Syragrius, Soissons is invaded by the Franks and conquered. Syragrius flees north to the (relative) safety of Roman Britain. With Irish raiders, Saxon adventurers, and marauding Picts closing in on all sides, the Romans once again find themselves in the same position they were in when they fought the Punic Wars: Fight or Die.

I've never made a terrain map before today, so this is a first. Learned a lot just messing around, and I think my next one will be superior.

Here is another map! The five most peaceful nations and five least peaceful nations ISOTed to a Virgin Earth.

View attachment 402392

List of Nations:

Peaceful guys:

  • Iceland
  • New Zealand
  • Portugal
  • Denmark
  • Austria
Unpeaceful guys:

  • Syria
  • Afghanistan
  • South Sudan
  • Iraq
  • Somalia
Thoughts? @TheScottishMongol

Well New Zealand will likely be best off in the short term, but they will also have the least incentive to expand fast, so I think we will see a slow expansion. In Europe Austria are the worst off as they lack a a coast line, we will likely see them working to get access to one likely with support from Denmark and Portugal. EU will likely survive with its three members and Iceland may also join. Se will likely see some kind of agreement of how they carve empty Europe up.

@mdc_1957 - Putin is rubbing his hands from his volcano lair.

Also, any reason why Armenia isn't part of Eurasia, along with whatever Nagorno-Karabakh is calling itself these days?

You can chalk that up to Armenia and much of the Caucasus trying hard to stay neutral, though as could be seen in Georgia it's not fully successful with Russian encroachment and all.

And mind, ITTL the Russians are more focused dealing with internal consolidation and domestic matters and are content letting the Two Europes have at it with each other, though Putin's successors aren't exactly rooting for Euro-Globalism nor do they want a hybrid of two Old World powers (the Mitteleuropan Intermarium being mix of old Commonwealth and Habsburg legacies) reaching their apex on their doorstep.

Brilliant

Thanks! I tried to make an effort to make the political situation seem sensical in the context of that scenario.
