Yup, in such a fast raise of sea the hills wouldn't erode on time to make a normal coast

I figure I ought to throw in this nifty little tool that allows you to move between 0-800 meters of sea level rise over Google Maps. It's obviously not a perfect tool since it doesn't help you at all with polar regions but it's still fun to play with: http://floodmap.net/

I think this 500-meter world would be interesting if it happened in the twenty-first century and many new cultures are born out of the old ones, maybe this can become a collaborative threade. also whats the climate like in this new world?

For a first map, not too bad, I must be honest. Well, at least better than most of our starts. On a purely visual level, I'd only really recommend trying to avoid using straight lines for borders - especially for non-imperial states (such as the vaguely Hasburg state in the Balkans) - try to base those states off of geographic locations. There are major flaws in the history, but that's not always the point of these maps and I shouldn't imply it is the case.

In Appalachia, you'd have a mix of Native American tribes including the Cherokee, as well as some English, Scots-Irish and German settlers, though I do not know what the exact population of each group would be.

A twisted little idea that has been beating around in my head for a number of months....
    *****
It is sometime in a near forgotten epoch of history when humanity had attained the technological heights we associate with the 1950’s, and the world shudders on the brink of destruction. In a desperate bid for survival representatives from the length and breadth of the developed world are flying into the Egyptian capital of Thebes to try and find a way to bring the crisis with the increasingly erratic United States of Atlantis to an end before it sparks a war that could drag the planet back down into the stone age. The dignitaries, be they from the bustling and urban Babylon or the dusty deserts of Egypt, hope that some way can be found to maintain peace, but with the Atlantean President Alexander Basileus thundering over the radio about ushering in an era of dominance for his nation, tensions running high between the countries partaking in the conference, and stockpiles of Greek Fire (atomic) bombs growing by the day many fear this last ditch effort at salvation may in fact be a case of too little, too late.

And a special thanks to @Historyman 14 for giving me more ideas to add to this.

What type of government is in India? What are relations like between the U.S. and the Pacific States? What about the views of the people of New England about being ruled by the British again? Which ideologies are dominant? I assume monarchism is, given the German Empire, Habsburg lands, and the resurgent U.K. Are there any syndicalist countries left? Who rules in France (I'm just wondering because, while it appears to be normal France, there's a decision in Kaiserreich were you can choose to keep the republic, restore the Bourbons, or restore the Bonapartes)?

As the first age comes to a end, we may hope for the greater future of the second age, for we sail into a new odyssey.

    But great work as always.

The Dominion of India unified India.
The PSA and the USA were at each others throats for a while after the 2ACW, but it never fully escalated to war due to the PSA buddying up to Japan. They are chill now.
They could be happier, but they are content enough.
Both monarchism and democracy are dominant.
Syndicalism is very similar to Communism OTL in which barely any syndicalist countries exist, but they are still out there. Namely the Indochinese Union, Chile, and Argentina.
    France keeps the Republic.

Heh. Cute. I think you can safely make Persia and Ethiopia a bit larger, they'll be going down anyway, and they're not too convincing right now as independent states. Could use a couple of ancient Arabian kingdoms, too. (Queen of Sheba, anyone?)

    I've always wanted beach-front property :)

I can't imagine what the flooded portion of the Grand Canyon would look like, but now I want to see it!

Hey everyone, I’m back with another exclusive map from the print version of the People’s Socialist Atlas. It’s coming out in TWO DAYS, so get ready! It’s 400 pages of lore and maps I worked extremely hard on. I’m looking forward to releasing it to the world, and I hope you’ll buy it! The link to the website you can purchase it on will be posted on December 7th.

Today’s map is of India. :)

Will you still be around after the publication of the PSA? Or are you done here?

I’ll be done. I’ve enjoyed my time here, but it’s time to move on. Plus, people won’t exactly remember me anyway :p
