In the late '90s there was a cartoon called The Big Guy and Rusty The Boy Robot, based off the comic of the same name by the infamously right-wing Frank Miller. The cartoon oozed patriotism, much like the comic. In one episode, the titular Big Guy mecha was accidentally sent back in time to the Revolutionary War where British forces found it and used it to win. The resulting future was a dystopia where everyone spoke in English accents and were ruled by aliens, because there was no America to fight them off. The show states this explicitly.
It's slightly justified in that they say that the robot had been destroyed by the time of the invasion and the British were unable to reverse-engineer it, so whereas in the default timeline the robot beat the aliens in the British-win one they had no such weapon. Still insulting for implying the British or another country couldn't achieve the same technology as the Americans in the same amount of time, I suppose.

Made a topographic map for a fucked up world I found on DeviantArt.

My entry for this most recent MotF contest came about because I realized how odd it is to assume that if the American War of Independence failed, that the US is bound to develop politically along similar lines as Canada-which even IOTL had a couple instances of failed rebellion against the British. I also noticed the contest explicitly calls for the hundredth anniversary of 1776. (this disqualified an idea I have kicking around in my head about Andrew Jackson led second attempt at independence succeeding. Which may be worth returning to, since I think its a little more interesting an idea than this particular scenario) Funnily enough, there actually were worries of a socialist revolution around 1876-the massive 1877 railroad worker strikes scared the heck out of the American ruling class, thinking the workers on the B&O were going to try the Paris Commune thing. Additionally, assuming that slavery would be abolished earlier than IOTL in the case of continued British rule over the US is fairly logical, but not a given. After all, if the 13 colonies had either responsible government or a say in Parliament, Southern planters would have had a much bigger influence over British politics than their Caribbean cousins did. Now, in this scenario its pretty far fetched that slavery would stick around this long. But the idea of John Brown arming slaves to fight redcoats was too interesting an idea to pass on here.

The tree of liberty is back and it's burning red!

The Final Chapter of the Quasi Reich
The End of History?
(WIP)
I somehow imagine that the area Brazil grabbed from Colombia would be filled with guerilla, much like Colombia itself was. And I see form your key that you did not do the impossible and wank the Bahamas by giving them Turks and Caicos, but instead annexed them to Canada. They in the same province as Bermuda? And is there any significance to Iceland being shown as part of the Reichspakt with Denmark while the Faroes and Greenland aren't? I know it might not be colored due to the WIP status, I am just wondering if Greenland and the Danish Virgin Islands would be left out of the past for military affairs, so as to not cause the US to feel the Germans are going pretty out of their way to bring warships to areas nobody wants to seize.

The Swahili part of Kenya been swamped with Indians, or is it just in their orbit for economic and political reasons? Surprised Oman isn't also in their orbit, or at least shown as co-influencer in places. I love what you have done with Trucial Oman. What is that dark blue inside Morocco form. And come to think of it, but did you trade the colors between Norway and Denmark from their usual coloring?

Ahhh, and Northern Ireland... what is the exact story behifd that claim? It seems if the British would keep a claim around (unless they had, then lost, Northern Ireland) they would go for either all of Ireland, all of Ulster, or just the half or third of Northern Ireland that had Protestants. IOTL they had it rather larger than that due to wanting enough farmland for it to be able to feed itself. I am surprised China didn't take it's claimed land from Afghanistan, when it did for so many other areas. They just didn't care I am guessing? I would imagine they could get some concessions elsewhere, though- Waaaait a minute. I was thinking the dropping of claims on northern Burma (maybe add some extra Princly States for flavor?) might be an oversight or just not showing claims, but looking down at Malaysia I am beginning to wonder if those are the shades do Princely States, or if they are just influenced by India. I can see the Chinese begin somewhat concerned about their neighbor curling around Southeast Asia in such a manner. Ahhh, and did the Europeans lose all those dark green ports and cities, or did they just come to a new arrangement?

What is with Indonesia? (can´t find it in legend)
Weak; irelevant now. What happens when you lose WW3.

1. (I should have done that)
2. The Commonwealth dominions= stronk
3.member of India for political reasons. India is the effective hegemon of the Indian Ocean, so they need the ability to project power, hence thevpart of Kenya
4.Dark blue in Morokko: The part of Morokko that was a German protectorate. Reichspakt rules don't apply to the former Spanish parts.
5. All those areas of Denmark are part of the EU, I just didnt feel like filling them in fully. Traded colour because IMO the darker Denmark looks better.
6. Born from British Unionism in Ulster. Britain is also extending the claim.
7. China may be now a superpower ITL, It doesnt want to pick a fight with the other Asian superpower India ITL. A war between the two would be cataclysmicly destructive, and they have only about a 4 year window for both countries before they have nuclear weapons to have conventional warfare.
8. Malaysia has been a long time member of India due to political and geopolitical reasons. When the Royals escaped from Britain post-revolution in the 20s, they made the dominions significantly stronger by consolidating.
9. The dark green in China are the former treaty ports of the VAG. They were leased with buyback clauses and 99 year leases, but they were never returned because of Chinese weakness. With China now a superpower, the treaty ports were retrocede to China with a Hong Kong/Macau deal. They are the richest parts of China and have an extremely militarised police force.
