Not in my experience. Whenever I've heard people pronounce it, they pronounce it correctly save that they usually don't roll their r's

A lot of people either go "Porto Riko" or "Pwerto Riko". I don't think I've heard many people say "Pwerto Rriko".

Same applies to Japan. イグリス (英国 - Īgurisu), derived from Spanish/Portuguese "Ingles" applies to the whole of Britannia/UK/British Empire.

/pwɛɹtoʊ ɹikoʊ/ or "Pwerto Reeko". Spanish does have a w-sound, they just write it u or hu except in loanwords.
