This puts my brain in full-on revolt mode. Like trying to see one of those hidden 3D images in a blank sheet of plain brown paper.
A pity. I would have loved to use that Georgia for an future ISOT game.

So Afghanistan lost the Wakhan Corridor. So what? If Oklahoma can't have a panhandle, why should anyone else?
I've spotted the inconsistency.
For real, though. I'd love to see more of this. What are the parallels to Earth here? I think I'm seeing Spanish and Portuguese Empires here, and also a more recent looking United States. Where do they differ? I'm not seeing something that immediately looks like a China equivalent. What does it look like in ten or twenty or fifty years?

Personally I would have made the Celtic branch all greens and yellows, the Germanic branch all blues and greys, and the Romance oranges and reds. Makes related colours highlight related languages.
So the Germanic languages are pretty much defined now...
What do you think?
Is there a reason why there's a language called "Dutch" instead of, say, "Lowland German/Lowlander"?
I never considered the fact that the German dialects in the Netherlands could be called Lowlander.... Thank you
