This is a rough draft of an alternate socialist Germany scenario based on a successful Spartacist uprising led by Karl Liebknecht, the following map shows the inefficiency of the entente to enforce the borders of the treaty of Versailles In Germany due to the civil war in Germany, with the burgundy hue representing the Spartacist-Socialist revolutionaries.
It appears that this map is covered under a copyright related to intellectual property.

This is NOT allowed.

I feel bad that this never got off the ground, it seems to have received some positive feedback.

I haven't been in a good productive place in years though, so don't hold your breath for one. It's probably fourth or fifth on a list of projects that I'd want to finish off. Might just do it all in map form though, with snippets and such, on the Oneshot Scenarios thread in ASB.

Yeah, I think because the enjoyment is like ''wtf is all this'' it'd be less fun in a detailed TL.

I'll probably do a few parts leading up to the birth and life of The God-Head.

Following the Mexican American War, America began to question its isolationist policies. They saw the empires in the old world and set out to build something similar in the new; Starting with the nations of El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. The American Government funded filibusters in the region and came in the support of the "government" after these filibusters took control, establishing various puppet states. The American Civil War ultimately had little effect on these nations, they had abolished slavery decades ago and had no intention of supporting the Confederates.

Survey's were sent out as the 1860's to see the viability of a possible Nicaragua Canal, but while many possible routes were found, the price was considered to high. However, with information that France and Colombia were working to build a Panama Canal, actually plans were put into practice. Construction of the Canal began in 1887, with additional plans to widen the San Juan River to allow for larger ships to cross. While being constructed, a US Territory was established between Costa Rica and Nicaragua.

However, progress on the canal was slowed by the political landscape of the region. The nations of El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua were demanding more local autonomy and were even considering independence from the American Empire. To avoid risking secession during the Essequibo War, the US proposed a union, with the three nations uniting into a single client state under the American Empire and in 1898, The Greater Republic of Central America was established and 4 years later, the first ship sailed the Nicaragua Canal.

Interesting scenario and a great map!

Lithuania seems to have done very well in the Polish-Lithuanian conflict. How did this come about?
The Polish were unable to expand, and with Germany becoming ever increasingly socialist, any Polish attempts at expansion could have led to Soviet and German invasions of Poland.

Trying for a bit more high fantasy, I created an alternate universe of my world in which there are clearly good and evil sides(I don't have anything darker than antiheroes, so the baddies are totally non-canon). I've called it "the Knockoff War" as all sides are intended to be based on other fictional canons. It may seem like a crossover-war fan fiction, but due to international copyright laws it is not!

Going clockwise from top left:

The Order of Chaos (ersatz of Chaos from Warhammer 40k) - The flag consists of a stretched chaos cross (similar to a union jack) with each quarter in a different color to represent the four Gods of Chaos. White represents Chaotic Unitarianism, the worship of chaos as a whole.

Alignment: Evil Strengths: Ability to convert and mutate followers into mindless hordes and to direct wars. Weaknesses: Hordes can be converted back to Good. Severe infighting between the five branches of chaos. Good counterpart: The Free Villages.

The Angels of Light (ersatz of Weeping Angels from Doctor Who) - The flag consists of a washed-out halo atop a white sheet, representing the Angels' identification with biblical Judaeo-Christian imagery. Angels are only able to move when undetected and, due to supernatural corruption, are driven to feed off of or kill other sentient beings.

Alignment: Evil Strengths: Ability to disguise as angels, cherubs, paintings, or statues. Superhuman strength. Weaknesses: Cannot move while being observed. Good Counterpart: The Monsters.

The Monsters (ersatz of the animatronics from Five Nights at Freddy's) - Driven by an extreme desire to protect the innocent, one that at time borders on the overzealous, they rely on scare tactics in order to scare their opponents into submission. Some are phantoms, who are immune to physical attacks, and almost all can teleport. Many have functioning PTSD from the amount of horrible acts against children and little old ladies that they have observed and tried to prevent. Many take on animalistic (bear, rabbit, etc) forms.

Alignment: Good Strengths: Ability to teleport, physical intangibility, terrifying jump scares and often unnerving appearance Weaknesses: Limited physical attacks, sometimes can scare the wrong person out of desperation, frequently strained sanity Evil counterpart: The Angels of Light.

The Free Villagers (ersatz of Villagers from Minecraft) - The Free Villagers practice a form of the Mennonite faith, being sworn to strict pacifism and living in agrarian villages centered around small churches where even painting one's house is seen as garish and decorative. Free Villagers visually combine aspects of Buddhist and Franciscan monasticism (shaved heads for both men and women, no makeup, and brown habits). For defense, they rely on Golems, very strong (possibly mechanical) warriors who live among them.

Alignment: Good Strengths: Very numerous and Golems are quite tough to defeat Weaknesses: Strict pacifism means that most are useless in war. Evil counterpart: Order of Chaos

Is there a key for which faction is which colour on the map?

Asking for border making tips: when there are too many butterflies that lead to a completely different regional borders, for example, a different Scramble for Africa due to Napoleon's victory. Which factors and sources do you consider to make new borders?
Me? I usually take a map from around the POD, keep the major colonies and just draw kind of random, aesthetically pleasing borders in the interior.

from my SW headcanons (in which that the existence of the witches worldwide and their pact in the mid 19th century of convincing the nations their reside to not colonizing or oppressing each others as the Neuroi threat grew stronger)

Hm? Since the mid 19th century? What could the Witches (or anyone else) do about the Neuroi before the development of aircraft and more modern weapons?

Also, I'm curious: what exactly is happening in those areas of distorted geography? Are the Neuroi raising new land from the sea and sinking other bits? Melting the continents into the seas like wax? What? Depending on the circumstances, it's hard to say how humans could survive at all in some of the distorted areas, let alone make them functional parts of their nations? Is there anything in show canon on this, or is it left very vague?

Prior to the Witches Alliance Act of 1868 and the sudden increased global activity of Neuroi 10 years earlier, the witches already serving their nation's military and governments. Acting as the chief or generals in the field of Arcane Warfare, or even a personal advisor the the Nation's ruler. Neuroi attacks were occasional but not enough to interfere with the current conflicts and alliance between human nations.

As of the geological ASB situation, it's pretty much left vague and that Fumikane just want the North American continent to be shaped like an upside-down star for some reason. But in my headcanon, The Neuroi; an alien race of magitech mastery, eat large swathes of northwestern Canada/Farway and Alaska as soon as they landed on earth some 10.000 years ago, and then use it to fill up the area that is now Eastern Seaboard and Western Seaboard of US Liberion, and the central Liberion in the south so that they can use it as a launch point to spread themselves al over the globe. (As they can't travel through a large body of water as the wiki stated, for some reason). That newly-created land were also acted as one of their "hives".

Are you planning on doing an MS Paint friendly version at some point?

That's definitely on my to-do list (probably after my house move next month though). I was thinking though, perhaps I should rotate the map so that the sides correspond to teh Corvo Island meridian (just off the west coast of Africa; it's Oronce's zero meridian). This would minimise the amount of land that falls on the break at the edges. Downside of course is it makes direct comparison with other maps harder.

Universal Tribal Confederation of Germania

Basically a relatively "small" Universe spanning confederation of ancient Germanic tribes, who defeated the Romans at the Teutoburger Forest. No real backstory, but I find the concept of ancient-futuristic axe-wielding (force-axe anyone?) bearded warriors who rules a universe spanning "tribal empire" with thousands of galaxies and nearly countless alien species, to be really awesome! Oh and throw in the multiverse to make this empire more freaking awesome by having infinite numbers of them.

I might do other universe-spanning empire infoboxes in the future.
