Map Thread XVII

Here's something I've technically been working on for a year now, but procrastinated for literal months, so I guess that doesn't count... :p
This is the world map for my ASB TL I've been fleshing out for the same time I've been working on the map, I'm planning on posting some of the write-ups for it soon. I'll start working on a key soon, too ^^
Any constructive criticism, questions, or recommendations are appreciated and encouraged! Hopefully I didn't forget anything on the map because there's a pretty darn high chance I did

Really interesting color choices, very vibrant. I know it is ASB but do you have a general backstory?

Not the final version (I intend hiding the source map layer). Any comments on what direction I should take the details of this map towards?

Some say Franco asked for more than he was ever likely to get in hopes of not getting into an alliance with Hitler without just flatly turning him down.
In any event, this doesn't prove that Hitler had any plans to treat France as a real ally, just that he didn't want to push his puppet too far. Hitler never really got around to using those ships until he tried forcibly seizing them from the French in 1942 (which led to the French scuttling them).
Yeah, Franco probably do not want to get into war, actually, I would not be too surprised if he did not want to Axis win :D
France as real ally? Definitely not (if, then only temporally and because of need)... was there actually someone whom Hitler treat as ally? :D (maybe Antonescu...)

I made this last night using geacron maps as base, its meant to be ever territory ever called burgundy (since the original kingdom of burgundy) mushed together, i might try adding tribal burgundy onto this but my map making skills end at tracing.

Allies eventually won, but France (rather than Russia) fell to a Communist Revolution in 1919.

More alt-Leninist/Stalinist, or is France more the French Commune (i.e. an evolved version of the Paris Commune)? Do the French commies use my beloved French Republican Calendar? If that is the case, you should use both years and this would be a map of An CLX just as much as a map of 1932!

And I also vote for 1936 or An CLXIV!

EDIT: What is communist Turkey like? Rather conventionally communist (alt-Leninist or so)? How is life like here? Are you in danger of getting "purged" every day?

I think it's nice. If you add tribal Burgundy to the map, pls make them something like an autonomous territory or separate entity.

Thanks, might change some of them, I don't know. To be honest, I don't have much to say about the backstory, many royal families are still in power, Julius Caesar came forward in time just before he was stabbed OTL and landed in Italy, somehow becoming Caesar of the Italian Empire, Germany is led by the Hohenzollern-Hapsburg dynastic union, France has the Bourbons, Poland has their old electoral monarchy system, and the Americas are divided up based on cultural lines, with citizens of Dixie barely being able to communicate with the average Yankee. You can see some more maps from it and a little info here.

Finally got going on this thing again. (EDIT: progress!)
What would happen if someone walked across that yellow boundary into the Chaos and Old Night? Is such a thing even possible? And do the different shades in the oceans represent different types of water? How possible is it to go sailing in these worlds?

The yellow is a colossal wall which keeps out Chaos and Old Night. The colors mean variously submerged land, inner seas, outer ocean, or underwater domain of some God/Goddess. I'll add a key eventually.

A map of Russia in a TL where Germany defeated the Soviet Union but was so weak that the Allies eventually won. This Russia is extremely pro-west, as it was at first an American Puppet.

hey look it's the combined syndicates of america* from everyones favourite niche gaming universe, kaiserreich
Hi all! I drew this.** Just. Messed around with internal subdivisions in a somewhat coherent way. That's what we call "Art".

* Sorta. I just went with what I felt flowed nicely together.
** Except for the flag, that was created by /u/Prottimus and was originally posted here

Super nice, but why has it not liberated the workers of California?

An OTL map, but one that will also be used for my TL, The Golden Dragon of Wales which you will find linked in my sig. It shows the terms of the Tripartite Indenture agreement made by Owain Glyndwr, Edmund Mortimer and Henry Percy, Earl of Northumberland, in their revolt against Henry IV in 1405. As far as I'm aware this is first accurate digital map of this agreement available on the internet!

Not Bas. Didn't know England was split in two at one time though. I guess you learn something new everyday.
