Haven't read through the last 50 pages of this thread so am not sure if someone has already had this idea.
Basically I started off trying to make everything blue but stopped with just a bit left as I felt it was more interesting.
I cannot make up any kind of actual scenario, even ASB for this map to be possible, But decided to stylise it anyway.
In the process, 13 states were destroyed

Plus I like the blue you chose for Czechia. <3 It's better than that greyish purple, imo.
It looks like France integrated Gabon, Djibouti and Madagascar, and kept most of the AOF and AEF south of the Sahel as colonies...
That's a big France. I like it.
Not to mention a USSR that appears to have incorporated Mongolia and... Bulgaria?(!)
There was also an interwar movement looking to join with Yugoslavia, although it was drowned out by nationalists.
Not quite - Zhivkov made the offer a couple of times, mainly to underline his complete loyalty to Moscow, but it was rebuffed.
It's a bit like how Stalin offered to let Germany reunite in the early 50s - it's eminently debatable to what extent the offers were genuine and to what extent they were just intended as political points.
If I were in Zhivkov's shoes, I'm not sure I'd be so confident that I would be turned down. Old Man Stalin wasn't always the most predictable - or prudent - guy.
