Quirky, what exactly is the tech like in this world, I'm a bit fuzzy on that? It's a cool scenario, overall, with a good mix of positives and negatives; that's cool in a world. Liking the colour choices, all lovely and pastel, easy on the eyes.

Whats the tech level like?

I was thinking sort of mid 20th century? Before the computer revolution, anyway. Nukes exist, but in small numbers so far.

All right. Off the top of my head...

Bloodier end to Apartheid in South Africa.

Russia gone Union of Independent States/Zhirinovsky's Russian Empire.

Russian in exile rump in Kaliningrad?

Greater Serbia?

Korean War in the 1990s

Nationalist take over in China?

Iraq has northern Kuwait, but it seems Iran won the war with Iraq, taking a bit part of it.

Stronger India.

Not really. Apartheid is over but the flag is still the same.

UIS.

No Russia sold Kaliningrad to Germany as an act of friendship.

Yes.

No North Korea collapsed.

Peaceful Democratic Revolution which was joinef by Taiwan.

No.

I haven't done anything with India yet.

Croatia seems weird too. Looks like Bosnia was split between it and Serbia. Poor Bosniacs. Bloodier end to Yugoslavia?

Yes, a bigger victory for the Serbs and Croats.

Also, (most of) Moldavia is now part of Romania, Albania has Kosovo, Lebanon is under Syrian occupation, South Africa still has Walvis Bay, Eritrea may not be universally recognised as independent, and there is no independent East Timor.

Yes, but Gaugazia and Transnistria are part of the UIS.

I'll fix that.

Yes, they keep Walvis Bay.

Eritrea is gonna be like Somaliland.

East Timor will be independent. I need to fix that.
I would suggest a mineral war in eastern Congo. Might also deal with the Congolese getting enough troops together to try fighting back against the invasions to slaughter Tutsi and take minerals from Uganda, Burundi, and Rwanda. Might be the A might be the POD is too late to allow this though. Maybe a decade earlier, before all the more autocratic states decided for good to stick to their own lands and deal with dissident the same way Aouth Americans did. Maybe just so some conflict around there or displaced people in stripes or diagnoses to add some color. And and maybe do something with the Bantustans, perhaps giving the one Kwazulu one to Swaziland, like they first wanted to. Also maybe throw in a variety of colors in Chile. Socialists, indigenous groups, maybe some people from Bolivia making trouble in the north... Let Pinochet go out with a bang. Maybe put in a war between Morocco and Algeria due to their old border dispute and how the Lagerians support the Sawhari. Though for much of my stuff an earlier POD may be needed. Much like for China though. And you really should clear up what two groups Denmark and the Faroes Islands are part of. I don't see the Germans quickly reuniting, grabbing Kaliningrad, getting Neutral with a capital N Austria to join them in solidarity with much of Southern Europe. Them not hooking Czechia and Poland seems almost... Well, I would say I find that interesting, as perhaps the Russians come to see the pair as possible allies. What year is it in this map, anyways?

Thanks for all the suggestions!

They're part of both European Union.

The Czech and Poles are actually close allies of the West. While Germany and friends are closer with the UIS.

They're part of both European Union.
Might want give some further details on those two groups. And I see that Slovakia is in the mustard-brown bordered one, which Czechia is not. Come to think of it, why not have them stay united in a Czecko-Slovak state? And is there any fun story behind why Slovenia is not in the Mustard Union? And something I forgot to mention earlier. Since I assume a lot of problems for the Bosniaks (here referring to the Muslims of Bosnia-Herzovigina) would there be any radicalization caused by so many Muslims being driven from their homes or being placed under the rule of Zagreb and Belgrade? Might ask other things tomorrow, but my mind is starting to get loopy from the time. Off to sleep I go.

A work in progress, set in the future. America's and Oceania mostly untouched, while a good chunk of europe and all of Mainland Asia is done.

I'll be around to answer any questions.

1) Serbia?
2) How/where is there a Kingdom of Italy when the various components of Italy are their own entities? Just curious....

1] Was there in an 1815 map I didn't post
2] Extension of the Cisalpine Republic idea. 1805 Napoleon made it a Kingdom & added Venice. Venice did not happen ITTL [Nor did Napoleon]

You do realize that there was a Third Civil War OTL when Charles II invaded from Scotland and was Defeated at the Battle of Worcester?
Good point but, despite the fact they took an active part in the first Civil War, I've always been of the opinion that you cant have a "Civil War" between two sovereign nations that just happen to have the same King. [Although Cromwell would dispute that they did]
The second was a Scottish invasion supporting an English uprising but the Third was an English uprising [barely] supporting a Scottish invasion.

Don't get me on the subject of naming Wars.
Why were the French Wars of Religion or the Wars of the Roses NOT Civil Wars?
Why was the War of the Polish Succession named such when their Monarchy was elective?
Why is the Hundred Years War 113 years long?

Why do I get so concerned over these things? - At least I have an answer for that; How we name things affects how we perceive them; Indian Mutiny or War of Independence?

What happened to India?

Indo-Pak war.

What in tarnation is this.
Someone broke the Netherlands and they're leaking all over France?

Remnant EU type deal. Socialist now. Wasn't too happy with the color but hadn't had time to change it yet.

Ethiopia and Egypt wank? And what happened for India? Was there finally Indo-Pakistani nuclear war?

Ethiopia is rather a united east Africa, Ethiopia is merely the head of it. Egypt is the United Arab Republic.

Someone broke the Netherlands and they're leaking all over France?

I'm at work with my morning coffee, reading my emails, and just clicked on Pandora for some sweet, sweet tunes. And then I read this, and literally laughed out loud. The junior associate down the hall called over to check on me.

Thank you, Bruce, for making my Saturday shift start off well.
