Another piece for my
Vox Populi side-world, only took about about four hours to throw together actually (Which then again might show if I've made any big cock ups). This depicts the Japanese Isles, partitioned between the great powers of Russia, America, China and Britain. Most of the writeup is on the artwork itself so I don't really feel I need to explain myself, but I will be more than willing to expand on any questions you might have

.
A few things.
1. Russia has Russified most of their territory's names, whilst America, Britain and the Han tended to adhere to the original spellings (When Anglicized, anyway) save a handful of cases, such as Bin-tiana.
2. The overall Japanese population is smaller than OTL at the same time, due to a smaller economic animus and differing demographic trends, and stands around about 80 million. A bare majority of that lies in the American territories (including Edo) of a little over 40 million, whilst another rough 30 million live in the Chubu Circuit, 6 million in Yezo Oblast and the other 4 million across the British territories. However this is only including Japanese and Ainu residents, and when Russians, Han Chinese, the various British subjects and Americans are counted the population swells to about 90 million, more so if you include itinerant workers.
3. I will be expanding on the Sundry Revolution in future, but rest assured it's as colourful as the name suggests.
4.
You can find the full image on my Deviantart if this one's too blurry.
5. Clifford & King are mine and my partner's surnames, respectively, and this was inspired in part by us watching
Joanna Lumley's Japan together, which I thought was a cute little anecdote.
