JPEG Heresy, and tiny font.

Otherwise coolness.

Somehow I only managed to grab the slightly downsized preview from DeviantArt instead of the original image file... That's fixed now. And yeah, the font is a bit tiny, I have to admit that... But then again I typically enhance worldas anyway to see all the details, so I just don't notice it myself.

heres ATL 1959 where the chinese communists lost the civil war and the soviet union started to collepse becaous of nationolistic coups in the eastern block and civil wars started in it. africa got modornized very fast and the indian sub continent is quiet peaceful

Finished the last three of the states de jure in the Celestial Empire of Chinapa but very much de facto separate. Those are... the Chanate of Cathay (Mongolia-analogue), The Monastic State of Dhibat, Harmonious Abode of Peace (Tibet-analogue) and the West Ayiaman Company (think European businessmen in the "game" for their own profits, propping up their own Emperor).

Now, I need some advice.

Should I make the left peninsula [the one just below the rust-red state] the India-analogue, or should that be the big one on the right [below Tyzanbium]? I ask because I've been thinking about South-East Asia for the left peninsula since I had a look at the reversed map, and before I did, I was planning on a Persia-analogue [Zoroastrian monarchy and all that jazz] for the right peninsula.

So...

1) Left peninsula India analogue, right-peninsula Persia-analogue
2) Right peninsula India analogue, left-peninsula South-East Asia analogue
3) No India analogue at all. Left-peninsula South-East Asia analogue, right-peninsula Persia-analogue.
4) India analogue on right-peninsula, but mountains are Persia-analogue.

What should I go with?

I would go with a mix of 3 and 4:
- Left peninsula South-East Asia analogue, right peninsula Persia-India analogue, with *Indian culture dominant along the coast and *Persian further inland

... btw, I would change that Tibet (?) analogue's colour, at first look I confused with the ocean colour.

Persia north of that big mountain range by Byzantium, and the the Indian states south, leaving the other peninsula open to a society with no real equivalent? (Se asia? Settled Orang people? Aboriginals?)

Got it, thank you all for your advice, I think I'll go with number 4.
It's been really interesting to see what you've been doing with my basemap so far. I shall watch this closely.
Thanks. :)

And I've made a retroactive edit, Portusale is now an independent, small kingdom with some reach [but de facto under the Azalaian sway].

Quick map with all countries labelled and the general "cultural conception" of the division of continents added.

Kamret is the Egypt-analogue, by the way. The people there still worship their old Egyptian-esque pantheon because Rule of Cool, really. Basically expect undead mummies, pyramids, all that, but the people aren't living like Ancient Egyptians because that would be ridiculous. The equivalent to Disraeli giving Queen Victoria "Empress of India" in ATL is Zacharias Cochrane bestowing King Alexander the title "Pharaoh of Kamret".

Don't need to annouce what this is anymore, nonetheless it's a near final product. Feel free to ask questions, the lore's complete in my mind.

All right.

What is culture, and religion like in the Akkadian Empire?

What is the technology like?

What happen to Japan and China?

What are the Greco-Punic like?

How how Colonization gone so far?

Any one God Faith? Or still largely polytheism?
