Yea, unfortunately most of the backstory isn't online, but if you download the mod the backstory is described ingame.
Thanks! Here's another map I found - I think most of that area fits under "moderate settlement", which could fit too (maybe you could have two maps?), but "strong Dutch presence" was isolated to the Hudson and Delaware.

It seemed time for another World War so here is my take with the Hashemites. Firstly, some explanation. Germany, the clear victor in the Great War, has made France its dependent. Same with Switzerland and the Czech state causing a great deal of nations to become wary. The Turkish Islamic Republic was one of these nations. Fearing for their newfound nation they pleaded to be in an alliance with the Empire and were given one, with much hesitation i should add. France, or at least the Government of France, is located in Africa and centered around Zanzibar but was originally in Algiers with its army and militias spread all over the continent.
The German Empire felt the need to expand and thus started the conflict by invading British Cameroons and British Kongo. Meanwhile, The TIR (Turkish Islamic Republic), launches a massive 'scorched earth' assault into British Bosphorus and Greek Anatolia as well as Armenia. The TIR is accused of killing massive amounts civilians and mass destruction to achieve their vague objectives in the war (Secure previously held territories). In the chaos and confusion, France has decided to send militia troops into remote regions of territories to spark guerrilla warfare and have surprisingly taken a large chunk of the Kongo as well as encroaching on British West Africa and cutting off Algeria from the sea.
Only time will tell how this war will play out.

Doing a new map project soon. Planning to be messing around with Alexander the Great and Scythia. Basic Premise is that Phillip II of Macedon dies in battle against Ateas of Scythia, rather than the other way around. (Phillip was badly wounded in OTL)
Though I may change it simply to having Ateas' Kingdom survive his death. Dude was awesome IMO.

It seems a bit unnecessary to have a "found maps" thread. If it were a daily occurrence, and a lot of them were crappy, another thread or just using the shitpost thread might be needed, but people generally don't post stuff created by others very often, and when they do it's usually something pretty cool, like that one. Why should we object to the occasional extra bad-ass map?
