Am I the only one that use paint.net for maps? ;cMy first map created with Adobe Illustrator (and a little bit Photoshop for the final touch^^).
On the map you see the island Celebes/ Sulawesi, which the Prussians got from the Dutch in the 18th century and made it their beloved colony
in Oceania. Since Klein Venedig in Venezuela and Großfriedrichsburg in Western Africa were a fail, the king was profu for this successful colony.
He took care to not change any local names (excypt toponymic names such as Berg, See etc.) and bring the people western civilization. But in
Prussia itself the name "Selburg" from Celebes became a common name for the island.
I am still a noob in AI, so if there is anyone who can recommend a good tutorial for map making, write me a message pls

Because I only worked with Photoshop before and Adobe Illustrator is practically Photoshop with Vectors. Many commands are similar, so I have less problems there. Also what I didn´t like about Inkscape is that the filling tool is extremely buggy, you have to zoom in so u have no gaps.Oh, that's a point. Now I understand.
It's true. I just don't use this tool, though. Combinations of fills and strokes are at least predictable and, what's more important, look much neater.
I believe in the book it was just Manhattan that was under the control of the Commune...so probably hard to show that on a map.
The British may be doing great thanks to their computer analysis, but wait until the peoples of the world learn about cloud computing.

Germany 2037.
The European Experiment failed. Although the Schulzzug and Macron were able to stabilize the region back again in 2017, the inevitable was to happen.
The EU was partly dissolved in 2021-2025, with its remnant being a small economic union in Central and Western Europe.
Nationalism has risen again. Of course, no one wants to speak about or play the Hitler Card, but Every Government has their own little pesky programs they execute to get extreme political foes silent.
Germany was one of thr countries who didn't have this. As of 2037, Germany still has the lowest rate of Political custody in europe after Switzerland and Iceland. But this is soon to change.
In 2027, a large Climate Catastrophy caused by man had destroyed most of Germany's coast. The original wave went as far as Magdeburg through the rivers and roughly 800,000 people were killed during the first wave, mainly in the completely destroyed City of Hamburg.
The Event was a superstorm caused by a mass fire of leaking oil in the north sea by an American oil tanker who had rammed three oil platforms during storm.
The months-long Burning oil caused thermal turmoil in the region, resulting in the climax of the "Nordseekatastrophe" (North Sea catastrophe) : A superstorm which caused high storm waves, higher than anything before, and an explosion on an even otherer oil platform.
Germany and Denmark were the countries to mostly perish. Dams broke, and an area the size of the Kaliningrad oblast couldn't be yet retained (Germany only).
The Image is a poster of the popular German National Union party, whose goal it is to retain the German spirit.
The translation of the text:
Look, what the American Scum has done to the Fatherland!
It has taken, bit by bit, Centuries old German soil like coins in a poker game!
It has taken Germany's Spirit and Soul, when it implemented its Slave-Politicians [rhet.: Puppets] in 1945 to replace the German identity by pure Consumerism! And after it forbid the German people to retain its Areas, its Soul, in 1990, the American Scum has taken our Coasts through one of its Ship Fleets that caused the North Sea catastrophe in 2027!
NO to America, NO to Europe and YES to Germany!!!
This wave of German Nationalism and Anti-Americanism was caused by the fact that America and the faulty company weren't willing to pay compensation, instead addressing the Allies' Rights covered in the 2+4 treaty that Germany isn't allowed to criticize any of the four Aliied Powers' Policys, after they did so. The United States also added that a state like Germany wouldn't have a right to demand "compensation" after al what Germany had done to Europe between 1939 and 1945.
This enragened a lot of Germans, and surprisingly a lot of other Europeans as well. At the Time it was nearly 90 years since the War, and America was not willing to pay compensation to Germany due to the War.

Will Germany get full Nationalist, or will the weak but still-on-power Internationalist Parties prevail? What will happen about the Situation between America and Germany/Europe?
