Here is the requested population map for my Africa ISOT in 1944:

I know there are probably some major inaccuracies in Africa, but I hope you guys get the main idea.
Key:
Grey = No human habitation
Light Orange = Between 10 and 1,000 people per pixel (most areas outside of Africa are much closer to the 10 part of the spectrum than the 1,000)
Orange = Between 1,000 and 25,000 per pixel
Red = Between 25,000 and 100,000 people per pixel
"Major" cities outside of Africa (in order of size): London, Paris, Lisbon, Madrid, Berlin, Marseille, Bristol

The link to the map is broken, it gives me a 500 Server Error when I try to access it.I had an idea where the modern US is ISOTed to the old world, So I did a thing where I transposed 2000 municipalities from the lower 48 states onto positions in the Old World: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1kf1XnTZVUjwcpT7S6xIoQv_8944&usp=sharing
The map is searchable. Latitudes are exactly the same for all cities, but longitude is... funny. I tried to (1) preserve relative longitudes so that a city to the east would stay to the east and vice-versa, and (2) position cities so that they ended up in a place that's survivable and not in the middle of a desert or ocean. To that end I used a spreadsheet with the latitudes and longitudes of both old world cities and new world cities and did a bit of matching. However, my goals began to contradict each other and I ended up with some weird results, like some cities in Maryland being west of some cities in Iowa. Even so, the east coast is on the east coast and the west coast is on the west coast, and cities on water are not too far from land.
If I had to pick transposition areas for Alaska and Hawaii, I'd probably go with Scandinavia and the Caribbean, respectively. The Caribbean isn't in the old world, but then again Hawaii isn't in North America.
As an example, here is where my home city of Cleveland ended up, on the Macedonia-Bulgaria border:

The city on the upper right is Burbank, Illinois, which is decidedly not northeast of where I am.

As much as I like the fact that more or less, you've done some work for me and I also highly appreciate that, I just want to point out that VBAM is more a sole project of myself and following I'd just really like to finish it myself before letting others freely use it.Here's a V-BAM Netherlands in 2017

Emperor’s power is currently more religious than political in its nature. Only from time to time he serves as a kind of oracle, the higher instance to which some prominent persons in the Empire may appeal. Once he realized his godlikeness, the Emperor almost completely abstained from “mortal affairs”. These include things such as direct governance of the state, which now lies in hands of two competing factions – Imperial Japanese Navy and Imperial Japanese Army.
Ya, is his brain actually still kept alive, just woithout enough communication with the real world to do anything or is he truly dead but the military claims to have kept him alive to avoid the problem of a new empoper who might meddle?Let me guess- on the rare occasions when the Emperor does involve himself in "mortal affairs" his pronouncement coincidentally agree with whatever the military leaders say.
Yea sure. I just needed a larger map of the Netherlands for a series of maps I have planned showing some extreme polderization. I posted it to this thread bc I figured you or others could use it. You're doing great work with the VBAM project, good luck on continuing that.As much as I like the fact that more or less, you've done some work for me and I also highly appreciate that, I just want to point out that VBAM is more a sole project of myself and following I'd just really like to finish it myself before letting others freely use it.
I hope you can understand what I mean ^-^
I think it says that most of Asia is part of the Co-Prosperity Sphere, i.e. puppet statesThey haven't managed to liberate much of Asia.
This is very cool!I wanted to test the gif/animation system in GIMP, so I threw together a BeNeLux ISOT and a Scottish ISOT. I don't really have a big backstory for either, but I can answer any questions on the two maps!
Wait, what gif system in GIMP? Are you telling me I could been making gifs ten times earlier just by using GIMP?I wanted to test the gif/animation system in GIMP, so I threw together a BeNeLux ISOT and a Scottish ISOT.
