As promised, the description of my map (description large, still WIP).

The scenario is set in 1950, PoD is 1770’s, there is never a American war for independence, (King George III never goes as insane). This results in a überpowered British empire that eventually collapses under its own weight.

The EU:

Poland: The original technocracy, the heart of the Eastern European industrial empire and the EU.

Yugoslavia: The second most powerful state in the EU, along with its “protectorate” Greece.

West Russia: The technocratic half of Russia, a bit of a wasteland compared to the Soviets.

Naples: The naval power of the EU, slightly more industrial than OTL South Italy. Soaking up oil revenue from the Libyan colonies.

East Germany (GTC): The Prussians are still trying to get everyone to wörk.

Khazar: A Jewish state where the other EU countries dumped their Jewish diaspora. Now a minor power.

Tunisia: Not technically European, but who cares?

Other EU Minors (Iceland, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, Aragon, Malta, Cyprus): Most more industrial than in OTL

The New HRE (NHRE):

West Germany (UKoG): The industrial heartland of the monarchists. WAY more industrial than OTL Germany. Über powerful.

Austria: Still mad about losing their empire, want the rest of Hungary so they proclaim Austria-Hungary.

Netherlands: The only republic in the NHRE and the second most powerful state in the NHRE. The germans are worried that the Technocratic party may win an election, which could start a world war.

Italy: The breadbasket of the of the NHRE. Italy is a prosperous and has substantial industrial capacity. However it is overshadowed by Germany.

Other NHRE Minors (Wallonia, Switzerland, Luxembourg): Moderately industrious, and prosperous.

The Axis:

France: The leader of the Axis and the most powerful country in the fascist block. An industrialized hyper-militarized state (much like OTL nazis). Really want Alsace-Lorraine back.

Fascist England: After exiling the English monarchy. England has turned into a industrialist hellhole. Stay as far away from as possible.

Navarra: A place where the fascists dump their “undesirables”. A glorified mega slum.

Fascist Spain (EdE) : The most mild of the fascist states even though it is in a civil war.

The Afrikaans Union (South Africa, Rhodesia, Bechuanaland): Racist dystopia that make the Draka look cute. Completely industrialized, relying on slave labour.

Australia: The least bad fascist state… if that means much. The mines and research bases of the Axis are here. Wants Tasmania back.

GEACOPS:

Japan: The best off country in Asia with a booming economy and at the forefront of politics.

Korea: The second best country in GEACOPS, happy where it is. An industrial peaceful country. Mildly alarmed by the Soviets to their north.

Formosa: A Chinese splinter state that is doing quite well, a pretty dense and industrialized country. The better off refugees from the war come here.

Quick question: What color i must use for ISIS?.

I've always said people don't *have* to use any particular color. My philosophy is to use whatever color I think is best and then label appropriately.

Yep, pretty much. The color schemes are meant to quickly communicate information about a timeline. If you want to color ISIS as a rainbow outlined in pink with lens flares all over, I say go for it. I don't recommend it since it would be hideous, but I'm not your supervisor or anything so whatever.

Great Salt Lake: The area has a long history of being a refuge for people running from the law. During the 1800's it became a haven for gambling, prostitution, and hard partying. This reputation would eventually fade as the rest of the country's laws became more liberalized. Despite this, it remains the capital of the American pornographic industry.

Seems quite the opposite from OTL! :p

My MoTF entry. By far probably the most complexed map I made.

"After failed Zhukov offensive of 1941 it became dear, that the only power able to defeat Nazi empire was the United States of America and its close western allies. Moscow was sieged and Joseph Stalin, a dictator with totally undermined position, fled to Ural with his companions. USSR's elites however didn't want to surrender. Thus, a plot was created to kill discredited leader. In 1942 Joseph Stalin was poisoned. He was immediately replaced with Lavrientiy Beria, who started to reorganize the Red Army. Historians say, that it was his talent that saved the Soviet Union from total collapse. In 1943. Russians won at Stalingrad and actually started achieving victories against Germans. who were severely weakened by harsh winter. This turmoil on the east however gave Americans and British enough time to organize a great and quick offensive through the Balkans. In 1945, Poland was liberated. Germans, surrounded by Allies, were on a brink of collapse. However it was the nuclear bombing of Berlin that forced them to unconditional capitulation and finally ended the war in Europe. After 6 years of bloody struggle, Europe was free. Nevertheless, the price that polish nation paid for this victory was huge. Many state that horrors of German occupation were never fully compensated. After the war, it was decided that Poland would gain all of eastern Prussia and Danzig, to finally prevent any future conflicts. On the east however, the Red Army stood firmly. Therefore, some of the Kresy territories were lost.

Today’s Poland is a blooming eastern-european economy with high GDP and good standard of living. Nothing is perfect though, and country is very often criticized for its anti-Ukrainian policies. Polish authorities state that these “security measures” are caused by strong anti-Polish and secessionist sentiment amongst many Ukrainians.

Ukrainian terrorists (or, “freedom fighters”, if one wishes) have a vastly different opinion…"

I'm not seeing your map here or on the MoTF thread.

Did you mean:
Aww, why you gotta steal my likes? I wasn't planning to post that here until it was finished, and I was just trying to make a joke about how small people's WIPs were getting by posting a pic of a single orange pixel... :( Darn, you didn't even say that was my map...
