Series 3 – Legacy of Spring
Map 3.4 – Federation of Worker Republics

A short summary of the FWR and some of its member republics. The largest and most populous "country" on the planet. Their main rival are the Axis, the Imperials, the US ... basically all the rest of the planet who are not socialists/communists.

Map 3.3 – Imperials and Reactionaries
Why is Northern Ireland a separate Worker’s Republic? The only thing really setting it apart from the rest of the island is religion, and since the FWR is State Atheist they wouldn’t care much about that.

What it says on the package. Part of my timeline you can see in the signature. I'm not advertising here. Any feedback considering the map would be very appreciated!

What's the origin of "Meridia" in this case?
Similar to Le Midi in France and the Mezzogiorno in Italy IOTL, Meridia is derived from Latin meridianum which means ‘noon’. Due to a larger Catholic and therefore Latin presence ITTL, Meridia is used instead of the OTL noun "Mezzogiorno". It's really just a stylistic thing, the name itself doesn't impact the timeline that much.

Well, I have learned something new today. :)

I like the map, but why isn't welsh a minority language in Argentina? it's one of the main areas outside of wales where it's spoken irrc

I’m also liking this. I notice the current Sultan/Caliph appears to be female. I wonder what that says about the state of Islam in this world. Wahhabism obviously isn’t popular which is always good.

Islam is way more liberal than OTL. Having the center of Islam - the Ottoman Empire - being filthy rich, cosmopolitan (Istanbul, Bagdahd, Damascus and other cities are the center of high life - the Baghdad Fashion Week is the one to watch), not as populous as OTL, mostly secular and equal really helps (And no wars since the 19th century works wonders). Wahhabism is still around but they are viewed more as a sect like the Westboro Baptist Church or other OTL sects.

Furthering the Swiss Kingdom TL I'm working on that I posted a flag and map for, here's a map of the different forms of governance present ITTL.

All cantons (and the Free City of Geneva, not a canton but with a special status) have a unicameral legislature elected every four years by universal suffrage and proportional representation, except the three Cantons in green, which are allowed (because of small populations and far-flung towns) to have a mixed FPTP/proportional system.

The chief of state for each canton, however, varies:

Maroon: directly appointed by the monarch (Aargau, Zurich, St Gallen, Schweiz, Zug, Uri, Obwalden, Nidwalden, Bern, Luzern, Solothurn)
Red: direct election (Basel, Thurgau, Grisons, Ticino, Vaud, Bernstadt)
Blue: hereditary symbolic monarch (Schaffhausen, Jura, Neuchatel, Fribourg, Valais, Geneva proper; think if the Prince of Wales had any role in the Welsh Assembly)
Orange: Free City (Zurich, Lucerne, City of Geneva; Mayor elected by the legislature)
Green: No chief of state; landsgemeinde (a citizens' assembly) holds final authority over the legislature (both Appenzells, Glarus)

Ahikto North 1433
In this surprisingly Simple map, because why not. In 1433, Pikland is completely enveloped in a civil war, as surrounding powers of Gliserine and Midgaurd have taken advantage of it. In 1433, in the small state of Kyoto, A new King has arisen. Amejid Kyoto, a new king for the state after his father died, succeeded his father after Kyoto was the only heir to the throne. Rising to the throne at age 12, Amejid had to Faceoff several coalitions against other nation-states, including Chu, the most powerful at the time. It would not be until Amejid was 32 when Pikland was finally united under his rule.
