A History of the Nystua People, and their homeland
3rd Edition
The Nystua peoples, commonly referred to as the Comera, or Snow Travellers, are considered by most westerners to be odd, on a best day. However, the Nystua people have a rich history as big in depth as Europe itself's, with strange customs and exciting tales. Their Story begins in the Nyskimiaq Island Chain, when it connected Asia and Cabotia 16,500 years ago, during the Ice Age. They were one of the few groups who travel across, along with the Yacutians and Manqhurs, and were the only ones to also remain in Asia (Which later became the Kamatian Branch, one of the largest groups in the Siberian Federation). But for now, we are staying on the Cabotian Side. They first arrived in what is now Nysatu Country, with a population of around 30 families, or ~1000 people, out of the estimated 10,000 people who came over the landbridge. The first known Non Migratory settlement during the Nuswaka, or New Beginning, era, was Nikoysi Village, which was founded 15,000 years ago. The main area of Nystua, however, was in the South, near Modern day Anchortown, the capital of the state of Nysunaat, in Borealia. They remained in small tribes of 50 people or less, until the Nutayuk Era (7,000 years ago), when the great chief Imorsuqa (literally Water Storm) of the Nysnuna Tribe annexed the surrounding Nystuan lands from St. Micheal all the way down to the Nyskimiaqs and east to Anchortown (the Red and Pink in alaska on the map provided is the extent) and founded the 1st Nystuan Empire. It lasted for 500 years, until a lack of fish and a low birch output led to it's collapse. The Nystua remained divided until 4,000 years ago, where the Great Chief (unknown name, due to him only taking a translation of Great as his ruling name) united them into a loose confederation, which held inspiration for later radicalist nations, such as the Anarchic Swiss Confederation and the Diemanian Confederation. This lasted for until the discovery of Nysunaat, when the Famous Cherokee-British Explorer Longsword Jackson went up the frozen Manchur River, in the modern day state of Manchuria, and went west to see if gold existed, after the blow up of the Californian Gold Rush, while he did find gold, he found the Nystua people to be more interresting, which led to the Manchurian Gold Rush being later into the 19th century, and slowing down the expansion of the towns of New Plymouth and Dinas Aur. A later expansion rush of the Borealian Federation (a breakaway state of the British Cabotian Company, later becoming the main power of Cabotia, stretching from Nysunaat to Baja California in the south. It was annexed into Borealia in 1920, when they voted to join after a referendum, after Borealia accepted to make Nystuan an official language, along with English and Castilian. During the Grand War, it was one of the main exporters to the Triple Powers, and it later became an official state in 1950, after the Treaty of West Boston. It is now one of the main states of Borealia, with it holding a treaty of Native Unity with the states of Manchuria, Yakutia, and the nations of Ainu, Sakhalin, Green Ukraine, and Siberia, with Siberia holding a number of Twin Cities with Nysunaat.
The Extent of Nystau peoples in the Continents of Asia and Cabotia, Red is a Majority, and Pink is a Minority.
(Note: If anyone wants to make the whole history thing more professional, then feel free. I just wanted to have an excuse to write a history about a reverse Tsalal)
