Has there been a world map yet of this series? Or at least a description/explanation about the Collectivists?
There were some world maps made a long time ago, but...well, I’m more focused on generally updating and polishing the setting.

As for the Collectivists, they’ve been brought up more than a few times. As far as the Free World’s concerned, Collectivism is a radical strain of what would have been called Socialism with a focus on social engineering and an ironically theocratic bent. While in practice this could range from Stalinist or Totalist to outright Threeist (the Internationale’s infighting at times being one of the reasons it hasn’t overrun the world) , it’s not a particularly pleasant ideology. Especially with the implications that the Orwellian allusions aren’t entirely natural.

I know the MOTF was to make a panhandle, but I was picturing something more like Oklahoma's or the Caprivi Strip. Not weird blobs.
My idea was basically that the US had set aside a larger Indian Territory, but that it was carved up over time in favor of Manifest Destiny, but it has remained contiguous, through, well, bordergore

it’s meant to be an amalgamation of the Argentine, Chilean and Paraguayan flags.
Going by how the country arose as essentially Greater Argentina though the flag doesn't seem likely to go that way.
A dark blue version of the Argentine flag seems most likely. Or perhaps a 5 stripe of bwbwb which would also allow the middle one to be of a different colour to the outer stripe.

Why are your maps always so grainy? It can be legitimately difficult to read, and kind of detracts from the quality of them.

It's admittedly meant to simulate a page printout. But hopefully the full dA version (which is sadly too big to put directly on AH) may help.

In this case, it's more akin to how this was something of a compromise with the Chileans and to a degree, the Paraguayans in the 19th Century.

Why would they? They won.
A later reconciliation is more likely to modify the Argentine flag than slap it hastily in the middle of the Chilean Transition flag.
And bear in mind that the middle half of the 19th C Argentina used dark blue.

The Empire of Nippon is an advanced, wealthy nation in East Asia. Comprised of a number of islands off the coast of the Asian continent, Nippon has had a long history that included long stretches of isolationism. All of that changed in the mid-19th century when the nation reformed and began industrializing - in part a reaction to the modernization of China around the same time. A natural rival to China, Nippon maintains a strong army and navy. Despite the two nations tense past, the two countries maintain a amicable friendship in the modern era. Nippon has one of the strongest economies on the planet and is a major player in both the Pan-Pacific Trade Union and the Greater Asian Prosperity Organization.

Technically speaking, the Chileans in the TL welcomed integration. Either way, even considering how the main POD is around the 16th Century (though the effects in South America wouldn't be as pronounced until considerably later), the flag seemed workable compared to, say, rehashing the Gran Colombian or US flags of OTL.

The point I'm making is that just slapping the flags together is worse than rehashing. There needs to be a convincing development.
