Duchy of Midaria
The duchy of Midaria was a decently sized kingdom located within the Lotaci region. The Nation composed of several smaller states, with the capital being Huasul.
Midaria would expand from the tip and work it's way up, defeating smaller duchies and kingdoms along the way till it stands at its peak in 423ce right before the Midaria-Piklandic war in 426ce. With the empire slowly gaining strength after it got defeated by Chu, one of the bigger piklandic states. The nation would be Puppeted under the Kingdom of Midaria, but soon nationalist supporters started a rebellion in 521, and with the Piklandic civil war coming to a close Chu gave up the land in hopes the growing Saki dynasty would not take the land, as to not gain any more power if they do manage to take over Chu. By 548, the nationalists would finally win the civil war, and the Kingdom of Midgaurd would be born, having
the capital still in Huasul.

The Navel of the Moon
Map #3 in the SuperSized Nations Series

(Yes, it has a name now)

The thicc maps continue with this threequel to And They Shall Eat Cake and How The Sausage Gets Made, this time zeroing in on a world where Mexico made sure to drink its milk and eat its Flintstone vitamins every day to get swole. The POD focuses not on New Spain, though, but rather a few innocuous British colonies on the Atlantic Coast. The American Revolution is seen as a rebellion ITTL, with the Battle of Saratoga failing miserably. This causes France to not get involved, however some callous missteps on the part of King Louis XVII lead to the nation still falling into anarchy and revolution. The American Rebellion is crushed, but revolution soon comes across the English Channel as King George III collapses into madness and Great Britain goes bankrupt due to heavily intervening in the French Revolution and the American Rebellion, causing a republic to be established in England and the British Royal Family to flee across the Atlantic and set themselves up in North America. Seeing a chance to strike, Spain declares war on the British royalists, and gains the Floridas and their Centroamerican and Caribbean holdings, further dooming Britain. Afterwards, though, similar events to those that sparked the American Rebellion go down: Spain needs to tax its colonies to fund the war, the colonies don't like that they're not able to influence the laws that are applied to them at all, and Latin America explodes much earlier, around 1785.

Unlike the American Revolution, the Latin American Revolutions result in the emergence of new empires and new monarchies. The House of Iturbide emerges in Mexico, which, ITTL, is made up of all claimed Spanish territories from OTL Alaska to Gran Colombia. Other stuff happens, the Roman Empire is reborn as a Catholic theocracy, Spain becomes Mexico's BFF, Austria unifies southern Germany, China gets taken over, there's a cultural genocide against Muslims (sadly, but considering the major powers of this world are all borderline theocratic Catholic empires, I think it's more than likely to occur), and Mexican hegemony over the globe is secured. This is the world in 1910. Russia, who got off pretty easily except for losing Vladivostok, and Prussia are both technically neutral, but they, as well as Brazil (still housing the Portuguese royal family, who fled after Spain took over the homeland), the United Kingdom of North America, Japan, Hungary, the Ottoman Empire, and every other still-independent nation is covertly working together, plotting to take down Mexico and company before it's too late.

Though, really, it already is.

EDIT: Oh yeah, that's Mexican Alsace-Lorraine, by the way.

(I'm willing to take suggestions again on the next country I should wank. Fire away!)
I second Historyman 14's Kievan Rus and Venice suggestions

The Grand Republic of Deseret

My entry for the contest going on over in r/imaginarymaps. Big fan of this one.
Also before anyone asks the language in the map is the Deseret Alphabet.

The Transylvanian Civil War also known as the "Eight-Month War" went from July 13, 1923 - March 7, 1924.
First Month.png

It began due to the new death of the Transylvanian Prince, who had no heir, there were plans for reform to be one of the few republics without a prince. This led to reactionaries and much of the former Royal Guard to rise up. With the anti-communism and anti-progressivism, many Communists rose up aswell. This worked to their advantage when servants refused to help the reactionary rebel nobles, and this led to their revolt. The communists then got even more support when native American troops in the Transylvanian military created a mutiny. Then, of course, pretending to help the Transylvanian government but really just wanted more land, Virginia and Carolina sent troops in.
second month.png

In the second month the Communists and the Royalists started expanding, so did the Virginians. But unfortunately for the Carolinians, some Transylvanian soldiers skirmished with Carolinians.
Third Month.png

The third was one of the most violent of the months. The reactionaries started to use mustard gas. They started pushing back all their enemies. Due to the war crimes and with some useful propaganda from the Reds, more rebels rose up.
Fourth Month.png

Due to the use of gas regarding the royalists, the Federalist president, Calvin Coolidge, decided that it was time for full government force. He made Virginia, Carolina, and even the Transylvanian government itself, give up all of there land and supplies to the government territory. He even visited the Republic and got more support for the government. The Communists also were enraged due to the war crimes, and the royalists were pushed very far back. Though they decided that they should fight to the last man. "For the ways of our ancestors!". That motto made the people of Transylvania more supportive of Centralization.
Fifth Month.png

The fifth month came and Communists were making great gains. It was worrying Coolidge, he called for support from the people of there ally Germany. The Germans would send only very little supplies, of course, this angered the people, and this would also lead the tensions to the American German split.
Seventh Month.png

The President was desperate, and so used mustard gas on the capital of the Workers Republic of Transylvania, of course, he made sure pamphlets to warn the civilians out of there. But sadly not everyone left. In his later memoirs, he would say it would be his greatest regret. But it works anyways and the reds are pushed back.

Seventh Month 1.png

The last real month of fighting, the Communists are insanely pushed back. Not much else changes, the Communist rebel's morale start to go down, especially the Native Americans due to complete Native American government divisions.

The last month resulted in the end of the war. This also leads to the destruction of the Transylvanian Monarchy.

Crosspost from my TL Dreams of Liberty:

Here's the most up-to-date world map, which depicts DOL right after the end of the Edo War. This map also includes retcons that do not appear on previous maps, such as Genoa, British puppets states in North America, and an independent Kongo, which makes this the most accurate DOL map for the time being.

Here's a map of the Mediterranean and the surrounding area in a world where the Earth's rotation is reversed and, in spite of changes in climate and probability itself, the end result still has not only humans but very similar ethnic groups to OTL

upload_2019-8-10_17-58-37.png

Europe - known as the Boreads ITL - is sparsely populated because it's covered in taiga and, in the case of *Britain, *Ireland, and *Norway, tundra. Most European peoples at this point (somewhere around 1400 CE by OTL's standards) are nomadic tribes - Germans in the west, Slavs in the east, with Celts even further west and Finns even further east. While there is variation within ethnic groups, it's a lot less significant than the difference between, say, Poles and Russians OTL. However, the southern bits of Europe have a few organized states: there are decentralized Latin kingdoms in Dacia, and the Latin-Germanic tribes of the southwest Boreads have organized into sultanates, although aside from northern Hispania, most of said sultanates are now Phoenician vassals.

Speaking of which, Phoenicia exists, although Carthage was sacked by Latin barbarians around the time our world was going through the Third Punic War. The city wasn't destroyed, but the empire spent a while as a group of small kingdoms fighting each other. Right now, a reunified Kingdom of Phoenicia is extending its influence over the Berberian Coast and across the sea to the South Boreads. Their biggest historical rivals are Kemet to the east and Morocco to the west, but while Morocco continues to be a threat, Kemet is happy with its buffer states and is trying to focus on controlling even more of the Nile than they already do - the Second Nubian Campaign is about to begin. That said, there's a new threat to Phoenician influence to the south: the Tuareg tribes of the Saharan steppe have united under a leader whose self-given name [which I'd need an English-to-Tuareg dictionary to actually come up with] translates to 'Ruler of All'.

The Tuareg Empire has already conquered the Tedda Confederation, to the annoyance of Kanem, which had been at war with the Teddas as part of its quest to turn the Great Chad into Kanem's Chad. Now the Tuaregs have also invaded northern Mali - officially aiding the Songhai rebels, but unofficially seeking to add more land to their empire. Already, the northern half of the Songhais' proclaimed lands belongs to the Tuaregs in all but name. There will come a time when the Tuareg Empire rules all of South Berberia, but that time is yet to come (and won't last long once it does).

The Arabian Peninsula is by far the most complicated area here: the northern and western parts are dominated by the Turkish Empire, with the exception of Alyaredi; the east is divided between the Emirates of Sahwad, Qatar, and North Oman (although the last of these isn't so much an emirate as it is a pirate confederation with a powerless figurehead); the south has Oman and Saba' not necessarily warring but sparring over control of the Hadramaut city-states; Alhimyar is officially a Hejazi vassal, but the Hejaz Caliphate only really controls the north; and in Middle Arabia the Alwustaa Sultanate is the largest state, and seeks to conquer the would-be caliphates to its south, while the would-be caliphates each consider the others heretics and seek to unite Middle Arabia under their banner before conquering Mecca and the rest of Hejaz, deposing the leader they consider a false Caliph.

There was a time when Turkey was even larger than it is now, when all the territory claimed by the Khwazermids and more belonged to the Turks, but as the Hittites, the Assyrians, the Babylonians, and the Persians have already demonstrated, empires in this part of the world follow a cycle of unification and fragmentation. Right now, it's a period of fragmentation - the Turkish leadership is still struggling to put down the uprisings they're already dealing with, since the new dynasty has yet to prove itself to most of the Imperial bureaucrats. Of their former holdings, the two larger states are the Persian Empire and the Persian Empire: South Persia fought hard to regain control of their empire and holds the Persian heartland in its possession, and is actually ruled by Persians, so they refuse to call North Persia anything other than the Khwazermid Dynasty and many much less respectful terms; meanwhile North Persia considers all the lands that it used to own to be still in its possession and views their current leaders as rebellious criminals.

Obviously other areas are also affected - part of China would have a Mediterranean climate, unlike the ATL Mediterranean, although once again the taiga and tundra would stretch further south (and the warring states stay separate), the Amazon rainforest would be replaced by the Amazon savannah (and would have a civilization or two cultivating it), and most of the southeastern USA would be a desert - but I didn't have much time so I decided to just limit it to what I'd already managed to make.

Thoughts?
