This is the updated map for my timeline, showing the world on 1-1-2020. As you can see here, I have added new countries to the map, such as the Uli Zhuz(bordering China), Badakhshan(south of Bukhara and Kokand), Cameroon(west of Central Africa), and Ahaggaren(west of the Senussi Kingdom). Also, the reason for the 1-1-20 thing is that is when the Treaty of Jerusalem takes effect. The treaty will end the five-year-long Second Sudanese Revolution, which has killed over 120,000 civilians, and prompted military intervention from Egypt's neighboring countries. Hope you enjoy!
Sometimes being in a mapping slump can prove helpful when it comes to projects you've otherwise abandoned.
A final version of this map, now with names for each state! I promise I will get around to posting a world map of this some day
The basic premise is socialist revolutions sweep the west in 1968-1979, with the revolution in America being lead by Fred Hampton's Rainbow Coalition which expands onto a national scale as the Revolutionary Coalition for Liberation (RCL) incorporating the SDS and AIM as well as MLK's Poor People's Movement along the way. I am opening to answering any questions!
Oof. Not happening with any 1968 close to OTL. I suppose your TL diverges far enough back to change America enough (I see from your other maps that it had diverged by the time of WWI), but if the 1960s are different enough for a successful left-wing revolution in America, then the Rainbow Coalition, SDS, AIM and even MLK are probably butterflied away.
Looks to me like it includes modern Bulgaria, most of Thrace (European Turkey and the Eastern bit of modern Greece's panhandle), Northern Macedonia, Dobruja (in OTL Romania but wit ha significant Bulgarian population), Moldova/Bessarabia, and most of the Ukraine, which was, for a time, the center of the Bulgar Khanate and thus the center of the Bulgarian homeland.
I'll just leave this here without context for now.

It's a map of the Commonwealth in 2048, nine years after it was formed and exactly 200 years after the PoD for this scenario.
However, the Commonwealth is far from being Orwellian. In fact, it's a liberal-progressive democracy, and the final culmination of geopolitical evolution after three (conventional) world wars.

Here's a map that wasn't supposed to be nearly as complicated as it ended up being (actually, it wasn't even supposed to be a map originally, just a brief writeup) that I put together based on some musings on how I personally think a modern Second American Civil War would go. I'm purposely keeping it vague as to what the PoD is or when the war would start because I don't want to start a current politics shitstorm, but I imagined it breaking out at some point in the 2010s (probably not after a contested presidential election, though, since I feel like that's been overdone- I was contemplating having it start after a contested midterm election goes horribly wrong, since I don't think that's been done before) and starting after some extremist terrorist cell does something stupid and throws the country into chaos. Beyond that, go ahead and imagine whatever seems most plausible to you.
Pretty much everything is described in the map itself, so I'm not going to drag this description out any longer than necessary. Feel free to ask questions about anything I didn't cover.

What is the POD? Is it something to do with the revolutions in 1848?

Something tells me this globalist entity isn't as democratic as one might think, given that a world superstate of sorts would need control over multiple continents and cultures of sorts, unless I'm mistaken.

This is a world map of Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind at the beginning of the manga. I think I've done pretty well the coasts and rivers but I'm struggling to represent the mountains, borders and the sea of corruption. I made the map on paint (not paint.net) so if you have any advice to give me I'll take it.
Edit: If anyone asks me later, no, I haven't finished the map

Indeed, yes. The PoD is an uprising in Vienna on 13 March 1848, which is put down a lot more violently than it was IOTL. This leads to a lot more chaos in the aftermath, a much stronger republican side and, while the republicans themselves ultimately lose, the (compared to OTL) more influential moderates are able to come to an agreement with the Hohenzollern. Germany is then formed on 9 November 1848.
The shockwaves of this more violent revolution have consequences for the rest of Europe as well, and even alter the course of events all across the Atlantic Ocean, leading to a different outcome of the 1848 presidential election and, subsequently, an earlier ACW.
I really don't buy the peace treaty including the neonazis rather than finishing them off. It's not like they have any friends. The rest is interesting though.
I also really don't buy the anticapitalist terrorism. The left knows it doesn't work since... Before the Russian civil war? I think it's more likely the neonazis would do it.
