This is a map of the ancestry/ethnicity that Mexicans primarily identify as in each province. Note that Spanish/Indigenous ancestries were deliberately excluded as it would be redundant to list those ancestries when it's pretty much expected that everyone in the country has that ancestry. It should be also noted that this is merely what people self identify as, and not what their family history would actually say. The ancestries of Mexicans are actually a bit more complex, and this is what people simply identify as, since these are what the trends are. Think of how today, a lot of Americans identify as German, when before in the 70s, a lot used to identify as English.
Edit: Forgot to mention that "Moroccan" includes Algerians and Tunisians, while "Syrian" includes much of the Levant and Iraq.

Greece was able to regain all of the aegean island during the first year, with many of their new citizens coming from north america and the middle east. they currently (as of 1930) own all the aegean and cyprus.Well thank you, I like your scenario here. Where's Greece-in-exile located? The key seems to imply that it has actual territory somewhere- Crete and Cyprus?

I was thinking of doing a graphic thread, and add on a story over timeCool, are you going to do a more detailed write-up?
Wrong thread?A friend of mine started going on about how the LGBT community is some of the most selfish and self-centered people on Earth and that they constantly have to let everyone know what they are...

Whats the story behind an independent Antarctica?THE FALLING RAIN
It might be like part of an alt unWhats the story behind an independent Antarctica?
Correct but, as we've seen, some of the "bands" are not bands either! Those are solo artists, not bands.
a cross-national election of a leader to serve as the "first among equals" of the Presidents of the Republics.
Confederation of Gran Colombia.

- I would say that in general, people of indigenous ancestry are much more spread out, as they have gone from the South into the North. Although, very few identify as indigenous and mostly see themselves as Mestizos. Though in the mountains across Mexico, there are certain communities of people, who actively identify as Indigenous, that live in isolation from the rest of Mexican society. Many of these communities are descended from Southern Indigenous ethnicities and they basically live in what can be described as anarchist communes, where emphasis is placed on speaking the indigenous tongues and keeping certain traditions alive, even at the cost of certain luxuries. It should be noted that "Indigenous" is more associated with culture than race, so a lot of these communities could pass for other peoples. Think of a pale skinned blonde person in OTL Colorado speaking an Uto-Aztecan language and that's how some people, but not all, in some of these communities look like a bit. Though these communities may receive outside immigration, and change physically a bit they really keep their traditions alive Meanwhile, in the South of Mexico, culturally indigenous are not an outright majority, at all, but most still have indigenous ancestry, more on average than what you would find in the North at least.
- The largeness of the pluralities depends on the province. The "Italian" provinces are probably something in like 40-50 % range, with rest claiming Chinese, Polish, Hungarian, and French ancestries in varying percentages.
- The "French" Provinces are made of outright majorities of people claiming French ancestry with percentages as big as 75%, and in general French ancestry is pretty spread out through Mexico since France has bad issues in this universe that really encouraged emigration.
- People claiming Chinese ancestry are an outright majority in Baja California and Hawaii, while percentage ranges are like 50% to 40% in surrounding provinces with the rest of those percentages being people claiming other ancesries, such as Japanese, Turkish, Korean, Alt Fillipino (they have a different name ATL)Persian or French.
- People claiming Moroccan ancestry form like 50% to 60% with the rest in those provinces claiming a myriad of other ancestries, such as the above mentioned.
- People claiming Syrian ancestry are like in the 30-40% of their provinces, but that's because Syrians are a recent immigrant group, so their genes haven't had time to spread, and it should be noted that a lot of people are claiming ancestries with a distant connection. Like some people are claiming to be Italian based on being 1/64th Italian, and that hasn't happened with the Syrians yet, so the percentages are more representative of people who's Syrian ancestry is their parents. The rest of these people in these provinces would mostly say they are Guatemalan or "Mexican" when asked for ancestry, but since those are counted in the Spanish/Indigenous category, it was excluded.
- The same is true in some of the "Japanese" provinces. Which speaking of, when it comes to those provinces, they have the same percentage numbers as the "Chinese" provinces, with Alta California having an outright majority of people claiming Japanese ancestry. However, it must be noted that a lot of those "Japanese" are actually Koreans who spoke Japanese since they came as servants with the immigrating Japanese families. There are still large numbers of people who identify as having primarily Korean ancestry though.
- Also, the counting is based on population, and not like say county/municipality, and so Alta California is being counted as Japanese based on the responses of people from San Francisco, which has a lot of Japanese influence, to the point that it's assumed that pretty much anyone who isn't a newcomer there has Japanese ancestry. So, the numbers may be a bit fudged here. Outside of SF, which is sometimes called Nuevo Tokio or the Tokyo of the West, most people are probably claiming Chinese ancestry and then a myriad of other ancestries, but they're combined pop. is still smaller than all of SF. This is because the definition of SF is larger, since the city has spread out, and also built up a lot more than OTL. The population of the bay area is about four times larger than OTL.
- And thanks about the complement regarding my sig. I got it from the song Duvet, by Boa.
Not really here. Nationally, the Presidents are elected by their national populace. They all also elect the Lord Sapa who sits in the role somewhat ceremoniously. The call to war is answered by the Presidents, but leadership is assumed by the Lord Sapa (Unified Commander-in-chief). This means that the Presidents must debate and vote on war, where the decision of three/fifths will be the action to be taken. The Lord Sapa also selects the Chairman of the Colombian Reserve, and Ambassadors to other nations.Ahhh but some people are simply more equal than others
It's perfectly rational. It's aesthetically more pleasing than having a dongle the sits way down south. More specifically however, I could argue some alternate history scenario that leads to this, but the short answer is I find it more pleasing to the eye, and wanted to give each nation access to the sea for trade and naval power projection. Why does Bolivia own Arica and Parinacota instead of Antofagasta? There's no rational reason for that, and that's counting irredentism.
