On my Hapsburg map, it's done; just inserting the legend at current. But here's something I threw together this evening because it kept scratching the inside of my head until I sat down and dabbled it out. It's the territorial development of India in a very implausible timeline of mine.

The very basic premise -though not the original POD- is that the Honourable East India Company manages to handle the events leading up to the Sepoy Rebellion much better, trying to allay the concerns of the Sepoys and apologising for any mishaps, especially regarding the misunderstanding surrounding the tallow and lard-greased cartridges and the religious offence this incurs. This on it's own doesn't stop the rebellion but the steps taken to try and mute the damage does mean that the rebellion is smaller and more easily disintegrated. The Crown still takes control of the Company and the Raj but not as assertively as OTL, leaving the Company as a middle man for their interests.
However, the Rebellion has still spoiled popular opinion of the Raj in the White parts of the Empire. Therefore, getting new employees, skilled or not, from those areas becomes rather difficult. And the Company starts utilising local talents in earnest. This will have ripples later on as Indians and South Asians are progressively seen as being as competent and useful as any White man, though Blacks still feel the imperialistic boot for a while.
That's all I'll write on it for now; and I should mention that this is very, very rough. Mostly just wrote it to get it out of my head. Though questions are welcome, just expect great sweeping generalisations in some places that I haven't figured out. (Especially anything after 1945)

That's good to know, I look forward to it.

An interesting alternate India, but how did they manage to keep hold of Tibet, Burma, etc. after independence?

A lot of soldiers and aeroflots bolstered by a more productive Empire than IOTL -less racist, more industrialised, etc.- able to consolidate it's gains teamed with such states as Tibet, Burma, Helmand(South Afghanistan) being petrified of the neighbours. China's an ultra-nationalist totalitarian state and Russia's... well, actually better than OTL but still intimidating enough with their 'eat everything' mentality that the small states stick close to Britain, or rather, India.

Fair enough, that sounds reasonable to me.

Lads and Lasses, I'd be forever in your debts if you could point me towards the huge blank map, i think its called the worlda or QBAM?

It's time for another one of my map disasters!

Where'd you get some of those borders? Like the Tennessee division, for instance, wouldn't be as logical as it would be to divide the state at the Tennessee River or at the Cumberland Plateau (or both, which might almost be most logical). Looks like you drew the border right through areas which were always linked to Nashville, even before modern transportation.

Well, nervous drumrolls... I've made my first ever vector image, let alone vector map, thanks to Upvote's tutorial. Of course, after uploading it, I've noticed a couple of errors I left in, but this map is more proof of concept and tutorial. The map is not alternate history, being taken from a 1632 French map of their postal routes, but it was almost alternate history because the mapmaker's thick borders almost made me include Basle (sic) and Genefus (sic) in France's borders.

Oh, also, the basemap is huge and the resulting vector/bitmap export is huge, so I'm going to link rather than embed the image...

Well the Tennessee border isn't final I will revise it...

Here is my current WIP. Very early stages. It is what I call a Broken Mirror ISOT and consists basically in a landmass being broken, ISOTed, some pieces being left behind, and reappearing in a continent with a somewhat similar shape.

I took a modern Q-BAM but the year in which Europe was ISOTed is 1872. Any suggestions about landmasses? I have everything pretty much outlined but nothing beyond that. Most importantly, the land were Europe arrives is magical in nature and possesses many creatures found in myths but many new ones too. I'm taking ideas. ;)

EDIT: Of course, this map is many years after the ISOT in the new world.
