Decided to make a map of Europe. I'm not sure of the PoD required for this; maybe it's the result of some really weird alt-world-wars involving a Franco-German fascist alliance?

Huh, I thought that that caliphate would be the easiest thing! Sunni Arabs uniting against colonization under a charismatic leader.

The more difficult things to explain are the borders of the European countries. In particular, Albania, Czechia, Italy, Serbia, Turkey, and Greece.

Also, the Mustelid Caliphate appears to be overtaken by a very specific kind of furries.

Do they have the full support of the Chinese though? That seems the trickier issue what with them divying it up.

Also they didn't have very good ground forces, so I'm surprised the Soviets haven't grabbed the vital resources in Manchuria yet. That whole front is oddly quiet.

USSR threw all their efforts on Europe, as well as allies. Because the loss of the Far East is not critical.But if they lose Europe ...

The Japanese are not willing to disperse its forces and waiting for who will win in Europe.

Superpower Germany and allies beat Russia and balkanize it, Finland gains independence, the German-led alliance heavily supports pan-Finnic expansionism against Russia, Sweden and Norway (or Sweden-Norway), the remaining parts of independent Scandinavian nations join together in a last ditch effort to try and defend themselves against the German-Finnish threat?

How is this war being fought? Are chemical weapons being used? Where are bombing campaigns most heavily centered? Where is popular opinion among civilians going in Africa regarding the Allies, in India regarding the Comintern, and Eastern Asia regarding the Japanese? Where are conditions worst in the war, for both civilians and soldiers and how frequently are war crimes being committed? Are the Allies and Comintern respectively seeing the war as a total war with harsh penalties for the loser or is it heading more toward a stalemate? How is war exhaustion at this point?

An amazing map and scenario. I can't wait to see what happens next.

My own WIP of this CyberPhoenix scenario. Early days only because I deleted the original copy I was working on because it was fugly.

I also left in my notes, that I'd usually remove when showing WIPs off, to demonstrate my thought process. For instance, WTF am I doing with the Eastern Seaboard? There's like... five OTL colonial powers in this time period and three of them are already accounted for so who do I put there aside the Dutch and French? The Sicilians? Eh, so it's questions like that that that weigh me down.

Well, in any case, I'm looking forward to seeing the final product!

This is of course just a WiP, obviously, but the basic trend should be obvious: in an alternate interwar period, Europe is divided into three camps after the Reds managed to subjugate Finland and the Baltic states in 1918 (and later a narrow victory against Poland in 1921). The Continental Entente is led by France and Germany and is largely the product of intense negotiations between Stresemann and Briand throughout the second half of the 1920s. Other members of the Continental Entente are Belgium, Poland, and the three Little Entente states of Czechoslovakia, Romania and Yugoslavia. Their closest rival is the London-Rome Axis, formed out of a growing skepticism towards France because of their coziness with Berlin and their relative ambivalence towards the Soviet Union. The United Kingdom is quite close to a fascist system but still maintains several trappings of democracy, while Italy is a more competent version of its OTL self. Finally we have the ally-less Soviet Union, which ITTL is much bigger and beefier than what we've seen IOTL. All three blocs don't get along, and few nations on the European continent are neutral.

Now I still have to figure out what I exactly want to do with East Asia and the Americas but I'm liking my progress thus far.

1) Chemical weapons are not used. Nuclear weapons have not yet invented
2) Baku, Moscow, Leningrad, Warsaw, Donbass. Many goals
3)India is on the side of the Comintern. Asians rushing around between the Comintern and Japan. Opinion of Africans is divided.
4) Worst of all in Germany. Revolutionary chaos in India
