Will the (primarily) Irish-based nation(s) use Irish, English, or both as an official language?
I'd imagine they speak English and Gaelic. I want to mostly match the linguistic patterns of nations to its "home" nations.

Indeed! I wanted a Holy Roman Empire-esque thing going on. The Latin Empire has the strongest land-based military, Portugal-Leon is the richest, England(-Ireland) is slowly building what might be the best navy, and then of course there's pseudo-Al-Andalus which has the most fortified borders!

How disappointing. It's only slightly orgasmic so far.
My own WIP of this CyberPhoenix scenario. Early days only because I deleted the original copy I was working on because it was fugly.
I also left in my notes, that I'd usually remove when showing WIPs off, to demonstrate my thought process. For instance, WTF am I doing with the Eastern Seaboard? There's like... five OTL colonial powers in this time period and three of them are already accounted for so who do I put there aside the Dutch and French? The Sicilians? Eh, so it's questions like that that that weigh me down.
Decided to make a map of Europe. I'm not sure of the PoD required for this; maybe it's the result of some really weird alt-world-wars involving a Franco-German fascist alliance?
