The Global Republic had grown decadent and corrupt. The Slave Wars, begun by the Mercantile Federation of Cathay, shown the rot in the system. 'Luckily' Chancellor Severus was there to provide a new balance. Reviving the ancient title of Emperor and forcing the Warrior Priests of Mars into the shadows the new Global Empire has seen the Legions rebuilt and has seen the levels of centralisation increase massively. Not all are happy with this new turn of events though.

Most prominent on the list of provinces that have supported rebellion is Athens, old spiritual heart of the empire. With a headstrong Athenian princess in his custody the Emperor's right hand, Il Pator attempts to learn the position of the Rebellion's secret headquarters, while Centurion Tiberius suspects using the Empire's new Atomics on Athens might be the best opener anyway.

Meanwhile in the Distant south amongst Hunn gangsters and Bushmen a young Caelum Pedes has set out to save the princess with the aid of an Aging Priest of Mars, a Karelian scoundrel, and assorted other characters. Can Caelum succeed before the secret base in Yapon is discovered?

Does any of it matter as the cannibalistic warrior empire of the Maori grows ready to pounce from the unknown lands in the Pacific?

This is a very strange Diesel-Punk reinterpretation.

WHAT IS THIS? Seriously what is this a diesal punk version of? Star Wars? Cause I'm terribly confused what's what.

Absolutely and totally awesome.

I like the Vong touch. :D

I wanted to know if either part of their name meant anything in real life. When it turned out Vong was a thing in Vietnamese I was thinking 'yes! right region!' and then when it turned out to mean death I realised it was a perfect fit.

Yeah, definitely seems like Star Wars.

Yes, Star Wars. I'd hoped Earth Wars and the Empire filled in enough.

very nice map :)

one thing though, is it meant to say "but his request was denied"?

So they are still under the influence of the Mikado/Heavenly Sovereign? I know that that position was a puppet one for centuries, as even the Shoguns had become, so would this lead to the possibility of areas with different political systems all accepting him as their spiritual overlord? I imagine it might be a good way for the Imperial Court to regain influence, especially if the Japanese expand to to Okinawa or... Actually, besides Hawaii that is probably the only area with an advanced political structure that might consider kowtowing.
And I was considering making an entry too.

Damn it zalezky, your maps are too good. :(

Yes it is but that wouldn't work here :p
I believe that the Emperor would be seen as a spiritual leader yes, definitely not Political due to the nature of the Republic.
And as the great Shia Lebeouf said "JUST DO IT" :) I'd like to see your entry, many talented faces are going to join this one too

WIP of my Indian Nation North America. Not completely sure what to do with the Pacific North-West, i was thinking maybe independent oregon, British washington, and another indian nation in Montana... Comments and ideas welcome.

Maybe a Shoshone nation in southern Idaho and a Blackfoot nation in Montana north of the Yellowstone River and east of the Continental Divide?

Honestly, in a Confederate victory TL, Philadelphia seems like a terrible choice for a capital. It's still too close to the border. New York or Chicago would be better.

Agreed. New York for sure.

And that rump USA is perfect in the OTL North 'Proper' staying together, barring keeping West Virginia but losing Delaware. :p
