Part 4 of 8 continents and islands of Cavorite Venus in 1930. This time its the Eastern end of the massive continent of Aphrodite and its associate islands.

Part 1 (Ishtar)
Part 2 (Nogah and Isis)
Part 3 (Utrenitsa)

Again the essential premise is Venus as a jungle world with a breathable atmosphere layered over a thick poisonous one (for non-Venusian life). Otherwise the physical properties are much the same, esepcially the 116 earth day day/night cycle.

East Aphrodite will get 45 earth days of complete darkness (about 15 degrees C), and 10 day Dawn, a 49 day Day (Averaging 40-50 degrees C), and a 11 day Dusk (the longer 'day' is due to atmospheric refraction). The twilights are the only times its pleasent to be about.

Scale is one pixel to 5 kilometers as always, you could comfortably fit north america on the map.

personally, i use photoshop to work out borders since you can use layers with different colors as a guide, but microsoft paint also works well. i suggest waiting until all your borders are fixed up and then using paint to fill in whatever colors with the painbucket and eraser tool (you can make the second color on the eraser something other than white and then make the first color something else, and then use the eraser to get spots of the old color that are still on there)

also, remember to save your picture as a .PNG ;)

You mean with Cuba and North Korea? I guess I should defer to Thande then. But is Korea united or not, and if so why is one half commie and the other not? Or is it officially one country with two de facto governments, as the outline could imply?

Both sides agree that it is just one country. They just can't agree which one.

Seoul is the offical capital of the DPRK.

This is a map of the world without the Second World War. Despite the absence of the Nazi Party, pogroms against European Jewish communities rise tremendously. Thousands of Jews are massacred and countless more flee to Israel. Of the 9 million European Jews in 1939, 4 million remain on the Continent.

The Republic of Israel was established on the 5th of Iyar, as in OTL, and is almost majority Jewish. Arab communities in the country are granted full political, religious and civil rights though many choose to move to Transjordan than remain in a Jewish state.

Colonialism has yet to die, though the British are federalizing their Empire and are beginning plans to grant Dominion status to the British Raj.

The year is 1955.

What is the POD?

You say no WWII but what does that mean entirely?

China was still in civil war and Japan has always been looking at China and opposing their unification and centralization

newest version of the map from my ASB ATL on the eve of the Great War of 2032. the major changes are to the Aztec Empire: ive changed the provinces so that now there are fewer. ive also taken off clipperton island since i couldnt find a good name for it in nahuatl. the provinces and dependencies are now:

  1. Acalotl (western Panama; the Panama Canal Zone is also extant as a League of Nations administrative zone manned primarily by American soldiers)
  2. Ayomichi (Cayman Islands; an island dependency)
  3. Be'lix (Belize)
  4. Cenca'atl (south of Texas)
  5. Chichiman (westernmost)
  6. Cuauhtitlan (OTL Guatemala and Chiapas)
  7. Galapagos (an island dependency)
  8. Honduras
  9. Huei Atenco (Veracruz)
  10. Momaquixtla (El Salvador)
  11. Nicaroatlan (OTL Nicaragua and Costa Rica)
  12. Texcoco (the largest province, near the middle)
  13. Yokatlan (Yucatan)
