Map of the Fortnight: Main Discussion Thread

I'm not quite sure how anyone could create a country analogous to the Draka when the rules state that "blatantly implausible (ASB) maps are not [allowed]." The Draka is itself an example of a nation that's really ASB and could never exist... how can we create an analogous country while having to maintain plausibility?

Good point. I'm not sure how Upvote wants to play this, but in her absence I'll relax the restrictions on ASB entries so that implausible histories are allowed, but things like ISoTs and things happening for no reason whatsoever are not. I'll edit the OP to reflect this.

I have a question about what constitutes a nation. I have an idea about a religious sect who didn't settle anything and that certainly satisfies what I think are the spirit of the challenge but not the actual wording of the challenge

Feedback: I really like how you link to the previous contest in each voting thread. It makes it easy to go back and forth netten contests. (Thanks!)
Thank you! When I wasn't running the contest, I had the same issue, where I had to go to the wiki page if I wanted to look at a contest that happened a few weeks ago. Hopefully it's been helpful! :D And thanks for the feedback, it's always useful.

Huh, the link still works for me. Does this link work for you?

Yes thanks!

Okay, so I noticed that the current rule saying that all conversation about entries must take place in this thread is a little bit limiting on discourse. It seems that comments, compliments, or criticisms kinda go unsaid because this rule limits replies to work entirely. Should I change the rule to allow conversation in the entry thread, if I also put threadmarks on each entry as they're submitted? Or would that make it harder to see newer entries, thereby limiting the number of votes they receive?
