Unless anyone is going to post an entry in the next few hours, I think it should be extended. I'll try to make an entry in the next week. Also we don't have many votes for the suggestions for new contest themes yet.

Since it's Tuesday, I'm assuming we've extended. I have an idea for this one, well see if I have time this weekend.

And if you're looking for additional votes for the next round, I'll vote for the EU one a second time. I have two good ideas, but they can't be done in the same map.

By similar, does it have to encompass Europe, or can it be any region? And how integrated should this alternate union be?

It could be any region, and I guess how integrated it has to be is up to the interpreter, although it probably shouldn't be too loose.
