Ok, I'll give my two cents for an idea of a mapgame if that is acceptable. This might have been done before I was here but I'll give it a shot anyway.

The Rhythm of History:

Make a map based on the lyrics of a song that isn't explicitely about history.

I do like this idea!

I don't know if the rule has changed - but as I always understood it, you were allowed to make modifications up until the deadline (the posting of new threads), but not a moment after - so long as the person moderating the contests was made aware (just to make sure the entry still fits the description).
