Map of Europe after CP victory

most of this map is not realy finished, and manny borders are a bit arbitrary but the general configuration is there
the point of the map is not to be acurate but to discuss plausability and possible further development

the idea is that in 1918/1919 WW1 ends in Central Powers wictory
France and Italy lose some territory, map of east Europe is completely redrawn, several new states pop up in ex-russian territory along the Beast-Litvosk treaty, Ottomans get most of the midlle east
Bulgaria and Hungary cut up Romania, and Grece loses much territory to the Ottomans

coment, discus, point out obvious problems and mistakes

Uh, one problem is the German border. There is no, zero, zilcho chance that Germany would give Prussia to Poland. Yes, it had a majority Polish population in many areas, but the Germans would not give it to them. Remember: The loss of these territories was one of the greatest humiliations of the Treaty of Versailles. The Germans would never willingly turn it over to anyone.

And it appears to have lost Silesia to Austria and Memel to Lithuania...

The Finnish border is not very plausible either. An independent Finland would IMO have at least the borders of the Grand Duchy of Finland in the east, possibly even more if it is allied with Germany at the end of the war, which is likely. A Russia strong enough to force that border on Finland could well stop Finnish independence from happening.

I think Germany would do something to Belgium.

Italy appears to have gotten off lightly; I would think that Austria would grab part of it at least. Also, Austria would probably be in at least two pieces after the war, based on how much the fabric of the society was wrenched.

I would expect the Ottomans to grab more of Russia.

France, clearly, would be punished territorially.

Finally, Germany would include the Baltic States outright. It would also, at a minimum, keep its 1914 border with Poland

One thing is that the Ottomans seem to have acquired Bulgarian territory on the Aegean coast.

Edit: Looks like the Danes have still taken Northern Schleswig from Germany, too.

Our eastern border is very much like the northern border of Kazakhstan. No matter what TL, it always shows up.

Yep, I have noticed that. I wish people would just start using wildly arbitrary Finnish borders, at least discussing them would not be boring, what with the same objections coming up time and time again.:D

Personally, I always like to remind people that There exists a perfectly natural option for an eastern border of Finland. Namely, the Ural Mountains. :D

When did the war end in this TL? Because I'd have thought the Treaty of Bucharest (May 1918 IIRC) would be left to stand after the war, so maybe there'd be a puppet Romania instead of the Hapsburgs annexing the territory.

In my CP victory maps I always remember a paragraph in a book I read about the war (possibly by Niall Ferguson) that stated there was no desire in the triple alliance (from Aus-Hun and Ger, anyway) in taking more Slavic and other non-Germanic territories*. For this reason, it might be more likely that client states would have been set up in the Balkans.

* Although thinking about it this argument falls down somewhat in the light of the Austro-Hungarian annexation of Bosnia in 1908.

Your Prussian border is still a bit...skinny. Look at 1914 maps and base the German border on those, then work from there.

I'm very curious how The Netherlands gained Flanders....... Cool map BTW.

Possibly as a peaceful way of enticing them into an alliance/trade block? IIRC there was a plan to hand Antwerpen to the Dutch for that reason in OTL.
