Flag of Hungary post-Logical Revolution. The idea was to "start from the beginning" for the Logicists. The stripes are rooted from
this flag of Hungarian Kingdom used from the 9th - 14th centuries. The bird is a
Turul, a mythological bird of prey from Magyar Mythology which is very symbolic in Hungarian legends - it was also used on the
flag of European Huns. Whilst Hungarians may not be descended from Huns, they believed themselves to be so when the Revolution took place. On the Hunnic flag, the Turul wore a crown, however with that being a symbol of monarchism, I swapped it for a Phrygian Cap. The green is to symbolise the agricultural fruitfulness of Hungary's pastures and
blahblahblahblahblah (I just wanted it to look more Hungarian). I designed several variants - this one, one without a cap, one with purple stripes and one without the Turul. I considered an owl instead of a Turul because the owl was the symbol of wisdom and logic to the Ancient Athenians via their patronage of Athena, Goddess of Wisdom, which seemed fitting to the concept of Logicalism.
The next flag is the flag of the Khmer Empire, based on (with permission) from
JJDXB's flag of the same nation in the Flag Contest hosted on this very board. I moved the wheel to the centre so that it wasn't a direct copy although I still think JJDXB's marvellous effort is superior. It's f@*#ing difficult to figure out a flag of a Cambodian-based nation without using the darn Angkor Wat on it so kudos to the wo/man.
