Map Continuation 3 - Map 2 - Asia

Updated map. The white is now white and the black is now black [it wasn't black before].

I've added the Islamic Viet Republic, a remnant of the Viet empire that once stretched across Southeast Asia before its downfall at the hands of the Germans. Now, after a revolution, the Viet monarchy has been over thrown and replaced with an elected political and religious leader.

Here is my rather meagre by OTL Colonisation standards Empire in Asia. Yes, those islands off Indochina are mine.

That's quite alot of land, and I'd rather leave East Asia colony free.

Well, I can cut it down to Formosa in East Asia.
As for Bengal, well outside of Bandladesh, Calcutta, and Yangoon, there isn't really that much. Burma is pretty much jungle, mountains, and omne river running through. So I can cut that down...

I disagree with all those little bits that you've grabbed which essentially give you control of many major trade routes. You've got places in East Asia, the Riau islands, and that little peninsula at the entrance to the Persian Gulf. Unless Burgundy's this world's superpower there's no way you could pull off that much economic control.

Since I was in a bit of a rush to get Singapore, I couldn't quite get all that I want, and in that rush I lost Indonesia :mad:. So here are my full claims in Asia.

Two things:

1. How can an Empire be the puppet of a mere Shogunate?

2. Can I make that puppet contain all of Hokkaido and some of the Kuril islands? I'd rather not have Japan be a mess of lots of little nations.

3. I don't think any Japanese country could call itself Nihon or Nippon, considering the fact that it won't contain all of Nihon/Nippon.
