Map challenge: Large Arab League

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to make the Arab League comprise the green territory on the map by the present day with a POD after the League's establishment. Clarifications: Ceuta, Melilla, Malta, Hatay, Gwadar (not on the map), the Kenyan coast, Zanzibar, the Comoros, and Mayotte are included. This says nothing about the structure of the League - it can be even looser than in OTL. Ignore the internal and international borders, consider just the colors.

Getting Israel to join the Arab League is impossible. Period. As long as Israel is a Jewish state. The only way I can see this as possible is Israel losing the War of Independence, but then the Palestinian state in its place would include the West Bank and Gaza.

As for the other stuff...If Somalia wins the Ogaden War with Ethiopia 1977-78, then you could see the African borders. Most African states are unstable anyway, so it shouldn't be hard for some kind of civil war to take place in the countries with Arab populations and the Arab regions secede and are promptly recognized by the Arab League. And Iraq winning the Iran-Iraq war might result in the border with Iran. Maybe a tighter Arab League beats the Israelis in the War of Independence, then provides military aid to the Iraqis and Somalis when they get into fights. I think you'd need a tighter Arab League structure to make this map possible. A collective security clause, like Article 5 in the NATO Charter, would be very helpful.

EDIT: Actually, this map isn't far from the OTL Arab League borders. The only differences I can see are the inclusion of Chad, Western Sahara, and Israel. And some border regions. Granted, Israel is a pretty damn big exception, but still.

Never said anything about Israel joining the Arab League. I showed the territory of what is Israel in OTL as part of the Arab League in TTL.

Yes...which is why I also said that the only way to get the territory in the Arab League is to have the Israelis lose the War of Independence. And if this happens, then the Palestinian state that takes its place would have to include Gaza and the West Bank, since these territories OTL were taken by Jordan and Egypt after they lost the War of Independence. So the map doesn't make sense.
And I don't think that Israel losing any of the wars afterwards would have done it, since Israel was too established as a US ally by that point. You'd have to nip it in the bud, and if that happens then the Palestinian state on that land would include Gaza and the West Bank, which that map doesn't.

you're supposed to ignore the international and internal borders on the map.

Sorry, I didn't know that.

If we're ignoring the internal borders, then I think the best bet for a POD would be to have the Arab League include a mutual defense clause, similar to Article 5 in the NATO charter. Then, you have most of the Arab world attacking Israel in the War of Independence, turning it into a win for the Arabs. Then the Arabs support Somalia and Iraq against Ethiopia and Iran respectively, resulting in victories and large territorial gains. The Arabs also support Arab rebel movements in the Sahel. This gives you...the map! This may be unlikely, as I doubt the West would allow one bloc to control such a large part of the world oil supplies.
