Okay, I figured since I been on the site long enough I may as well try writing a timeline, I know it's not much at the moment but it's just me playing around, any criticism would be appreciated as would any tips for improving it or ideas where it could lead this is going to be more story than timeline but I like to have there anyways..

It started in 2001, September 11th, for everyone will go down as one of the most infamous days n history. The bombing of the Twin Towers and the Pentagon didn't have much affect on me, living in England I was sheltered from the threat, I heard of a friend of a family friend who was 'lucky' enough to be ill and off from work that day in the towers but mainly, life went on.. for the next few weeks at least.
About three weeks later, 5 November, they got Canary Wharf in London, as well as the Parliament buildings, a lot of people thought that the date it fell on was ironic or had some purpose, my dad said it showed us all what they were capable of. The Met and everyone else was astounded, we thought our new security measures were impenetrable, but we were wrong. The following weeks no doubt changed the world even more, November 25th, France's parliaments are decimated, December 1st, the UN is bombed as they are in talks over the terrorist attacks, December 15th US go to war with Afghanistan, the first of many against the middle east as they view themselves as the saviours of the West and Christianity.
Worst of all was Christmas day 2001, a load of cities all over the place were bombed, I was shitting myself there was a communication blackout for 10 hours that day, and no chance of Christmas television when it was ended, death was all over the news, London was only saved when a bomb squad managed to find the bomb, I cried that day, for the first time in a long time, I've cried a lot since then, I think everybody has, but at some point the tears just dried up. There was no doubt that we were at war now, on the New Year retaliation attacks were finally returned, a lot of people were angry that we'd waited this long to return fire, but I understood, we had no real government to issue commands until that point. Four weeks later, on my 18th Birthday, I signed up to the army. I think a lot of boys my age did, we were just so angry. I was infantry and it wasn't long before my unit were deployed in Iran, one of the many middle eastern countries it was decided at that point were to blame for the attacks.
