Make the Capetians extinct

With a PoD of no earlier than 1500 (to give a round cut-off date), make all Capetian houses (that is all Houses going back in the male line to the Capetian main line), most prominently among them Valois and Bourbon, extinct in the male line until no later than 1800.

When would this best happen? I mean, with a 300 year span one could just say "Butterflies, eventually", but, yeah, what would be an "efficient" PoD? And what would be the consequences?

Oh, Braganca. Well, it depends: If theres any chance in your scenario that those lines are legitimated or otherhow seen as possibly inheritors, they have to go, too. If not, and if therye not truely seen as Capetian due to illegitimacy, then not.

Have Henry of Navarre and his three cousins (Henry de Condé, François de Conti and Charles de Soissons) be killed during the French Wars of Religion. Then, when the childless Henry III dies. Then the last Capet left in France is François de Montpensier and his son Henry. If the Duke of Guise or the Duke of Lorraine take the power they could easily exterminate them in order to have control of the kingdom.
