Hi everyone.
So I was reading a bit on Turkey's Cold War history and I was rather surprised by the sheer amount of military coups that occurred in the period.
Turkey was a quite unstable country with seemingly rising islamism and associated terrorism coupled with somewhat weak governments, all of this combined with a fairly mediocre economic growth (or mainly, improvements in the quality of life).
So I was wondering, how could you possibly make this country more stable and more economically successful? What impacts could a stronger Turkey have in the Cold War and modern era?
