Make Poland a Permanent member of the United Nations Security Council?

How possible would it be for Poland to be a Permanent member of the UNSC? I know that after the Second World War that Poland was under the control of the Soviet Union and that there was also the Polish Government that was exiled to London after the Blitzkrieg.

You would need a POD well before the Second World War for Poland to be important enough to get that seat.
And that probably butterflies away the UN itself.

Would a permanent seat on the League of Nations Council be an acceptable substitute for this?
