So Majorian was a late western Roman emperor and was perhaps the best last person to save the empire?

What if he isn't betrayed and succeeds in reconquering most of the western empire?

How long will his conquests last?

Can he stabilize the empire long term?

The Berbers are still going to be a huge problem toward long-term control over North Africa, and in time, they might eventually march on Carthage themselves. It took the Byzantines to subdue them OTL (for a time), can the WRE devore the resources to doing so while also fighting in other areas?

I think the WRE is going to need to negotiate with the ERE to set up Carthage as a special Exarchate that can more deftly deal with local populations. Hopefully, this engenders better relations with the Berbers and can help repulse any Visigoth adventurism from Hispania. That could get us to the age of the Arabic expansion.
