With the exception of Nigeria, much of West Africa has a harmonious relationship between Christians and Muslims. However, is it possible that a serious Muslim-Christian rivalry can rip up the region post-WWII? Is it possible for large Christian/Muslim states to be established in West Africa that control territories that several states already occupy? Does this lead to the Christian/Muslim conflict spilling over to other areas in Africa and/or even influence Islamist/Christian politics in the Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Caribbean and Guyanas (yes there are Muslims living there), etc?
