Magna Carta not signed

Affect? definitely.

However, there were other exemples of parliaments for the enlightenment to take exemple of, so I doubt it will completely stiffle it.

However, butterflies are huges before that, I think. Provided this isn't because John dies early or because Phillippes invave or Louis takes the crown, think the differences of no english revolution or english kings having the power to raise taxes according to their need.

Actually Magna Carta as signed by John was based on earlier document (Henry I's Charter of Liberties). So, if we want no Magna Carta in any form, we need earlier POD.

(Also, John's Magna Carta isn't one currently on the books, but a shorter variant with significantly increased rights of the Crown, first issued by Henry III.)

It seems like it was more of a preemptive peace treaty between potentially rebellious nobles and King John. If the Magna Carta wasn't signed I think England would have been embroiled into civil war almost right away.
